I think a real man is any variety of man. The man that stays home with the kids and supports his wife in decisions and the leadership roles. As well as, Visa Versa. Love and marriage to me is like partners in crime. Or business partners the only difference is they relate in a sexual manner to one another. When one takes a hit in life the other helps by helping to pick up the pieces and visa versa. When something good happens they celebrate it supporting g one another. To me this is very simple. Respecting one another is of vital importance.

I was asking a lady friend of mine who was engaged to somebody what is his vision ? She said she don't know. I told her openly u are not ready for marriage.

Maybe he is following her vision. Sounds good to me if she has a good vision of her future

I'm sorry but my beliefs and relationship with god or any other spirituality isn't what determines the worth of a "real man" in my eyes at least. So I will have to disagree with those listed.

To me and how I was brought up a real man should be akin to a good person. Just like a real woman. Again this also depends on what a persons definition of good and evil. But at least to me a real man is a man who takes care of his responsibilities not because of how he is viewed but because it is the right and normal thing to do. A man should have good manners and be considerate of others. I don't mean getting the door for a person and then get pissed cause you don't get a thank you. You get the door cause its polite and considerate. I have told my son since he was little that it doesn't matter whether your the smartest or strongest if you have good manners you will make friends and have a fulfilled life. He should be passionate and driven about his goals and the things he loves. A man should be courageous and live life with a big heart. Own up for mistakes and transgressions.

I could sort of agree with the things you mentioned, overlooking the overzealous religious statements, seeing the deeper meaning behind that. But with this statement you've lost me. This is not a good vision.
Man and woman not being equal does NOT come from god, it is an invention of patriarchal society. Men and women were equal before christianity came along (invented/founded on patriarchal society) and the church needed to brainwash ppl into believing woman was inferior. Otherwise their patriarchal system wouldn't stick. So men did whatever they could to knock woman, and did so by instigating fear, (ab)using the name of god for this purpose.

In the eyes of God, the Goddess, Source, we are all one. We are all children of god/goddess, we are all part of Source. Source does not judge, does not instigate fear. God is love. People instigate fear and use the name of Source (God/Allah/Whatever) to embed this in people's brains. It's not Source/God/Allah who does this.

A true Christian -or any other religious person for that matter- would understand this, would understand what religion and god is really all about.
So far I've met only one of those in my life. And he was the most beautiful, pure Soul I've ever come across. Very very religious, but the right way. He was Love. No judgement, whether you were atheist, believed in another religion. He would even have loved a satanist. As would Jesus himself have.
THAT, my friend, is true, pure belief. Being like God/Source/Whatever.
We are ALL equal. We are ALL part of Source, even the non-believers, even extremists and everyone in between.
It is all about Love and Respect. There will come a time when all/most people can understand this and live it, feel it in every cell of their bodies. That is when Paradise on Earth can come true.

I would add to the op, that submission is a two way street , IF husband is submitting to the Lord and wife is then submitting to husband it works

I believe many break up because one or neither submit to the Lord,, although its common to believe the wife wasnt 'submissive' enough,,,very often the husband wasnt 'submissive' unto the Lord

for christians, the husband is to love the wife as himself,, but many use the submission instruction to make their wife servant, to disrespect and use her,,, that is not loving her as yourself

When Jesus said to turn the other cheek, he was referring to a form of insult in which one person slaps another's cheek with the back of the hand. He wasn't talking about getting hit with a fist.
