What MMOs are you playing and what MMOs are you looking forward to playing?

Currently, I have active subscriptions in WoW and Eve Online (x2). I'm looking forward to Conan and I'm thinking about getting EverQuest II, becuase with the next expansion you can play Sarnak.

I've only played 2 so far, Wow and Guild Wars. So far I like GW better because its more of a game I can put down when I leave and boot up when I get back.

I had WoW for the longest time, but I've given it up for now. I'm waiting for Warhammer Online to come out.

Didnt like WoW to much. Eve was fun, as was EQ 2. Planetside I still play and I liked Auto Assault.

Was playing WoW. Went through the period where for about 2 weeks I didn't do anything but work and WoW. Then it got really boring. Then I got back into it. Then I stopped again.

Got Guild Wars. IMO, Guild Wars isn't fun. Sometomes you can't run down a small slope, or jump down a 1 foot drop. Sometimes, you can't run through certain fields. The game is very gear dependent rather than level dependent. You get your gear from killing things and trading in their drops to collectors. Sometimes, a good item drops at random.

Tried Dungeon Runners. It's kind of like Guild Wars but a little more like WoW. Same problem as GW. Everything outside of towns is instanced.

Diablo 2 is fun, but it's not really MMORPG either. Only people in the same game as you see the same world as you. There's no real trade or AH. You can solo the entire game if you wanted to, taking away from the MM part.

Tried Ragnarok online. It's like a cute version of Diablo, but everyone is in a server, rather than a per game instance. So, while it definitely is truly an MMO, it's not worth it's price tag. There's no story to it, and most of the time you're left wondering where you're supposed to go, or what you're supposed to do. It does have a 15 day free trial though.

Haven't played any other MMORPG's, not really planning on it, but if anyone can suggest a good one, I'd be willing to try it!

Eve Online is a great MMO. It's free to try for 14 days. If you buy the game, it's only $20 and $14.95 a month to play (first month is free). All expansions are free to everyone. It's the largest game universe and it's also the most realistic PVP. If your ship gets blown up, it's gone forever along with your equipment. You can be a miner, an engineer, a pharmacist, a pirate, an anti-pirate or anything else you come up with. There are no classes, only skills and attributes. You decide what you want to do.

I will try it then, given your good recommendation.

Can't devote any time to it until after next weekend though, so I can't dive in for a while.

Great video for Eve Online.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jOJR5Xauf0

The guy speaking in the video is a member of the Amarr. If you crossed Catholocism during the inquisition with Jihadist Islam, you would get the Amarr. Religous fanatics who spread their relgion through force, slavery and murder. They are one of the four faces of humans available for play in the game. I play Minmatar, which is a race of former Amarran slaves.

There is a HUGE update coming first week in December. The graphics are already amazing (everything in the video above is in game), but all ships and structures are getting a face-lift. The stations will have around 40 million polygons. Done raving, try it free for 14 days (follow the link below) if it looks good to you.

Have anyone tried Hero Online? Don't! that game blows. 2moons is ok. Constant grinding but better staff support than Hero Online. The Perfect World is on its way out to OB. I'm playing the Vietnamese version of it. It's very much like WoW. Almost like WoW I would say. I've been playing for 2 weeks now but only got to lvl 15 hehehe...stupid communist only allowed people to play 3 hours of game per day. WEAK!

I spent way too much time on picking flowers and yanking the fish in WoW. Took me 2 months to get to lvl 18! hahaha haven't played since then.

Wait until you are 60 to head to Outlands :)

I called the Outlands the "Slip and slide", because leveling was so fast it was crazy. 60 - 65 was no work at all. The quest log was always full and money came fast. The game died at level 70 for me. I don't play to spend the next year grinding faction, no thank you.

I have two WoW accounts. One for me and one for my friend. It's a cheap way to spend time with him since he lives far away. I used to play Everquest and EQ2 when it launched, but quit after the first expansion.

Hm... well I have 4 accounts active in MMO's but I mainly play only one. That one is my WoW account. But I have been playing a little bit of FFXI, Eve Online, and Everquest 2. Also if you count all the free2play MMO's that I play well there are too many laugh

EQ2, FFxi, LotR, Eve, GW, DDO, Vanguard... So many...
And They All Pale To WoW...

There is only one true MMO God... To Date...

I am hoping and dreaming that something will arise...
Something to pull me away...
12-18 hours a day of WoW is great...
Running 4 guilds is great...
Having over 40 toons on over 12 servers is great...

But I have seen it all... When TBC released...
I knew how the game worked so well that it was no surprise or challenge at all... I am waiting for, and dreaming about, a game that is adaptive.. expansive... that grows and changes constantly... but in a fantasy setting... Eve is great and fits the bill... but i'm not all that into pew pew space ship and aliens... or PvP... PvE & Raiding is what I live for...
