Do you know where did Jesus mention that he is son of God as well as God itself?

And do you know where do the Bible mentions about natural disasters?

You cann use a concordance or a reference search, but when asked by Phillip, I believe, to show them plainly of the Father, Jesus replied, " have i been so long with you that you don't know me?" " he who has seen me has seen the Father. My Father and I are One"

Specifically, read St. John Chapters 14-17. Chapter 17 verses21 and 22.

These three chapters are the clearest representation in scripture where Jesus' own words say who he is, was, and shall be.

Its not a disaster but think about a rainbow and Noah and the ark after the flood. Apparently that natural phenomenon became a symbol of the promise from God.

Jesus, “I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God" (Matthew 26:63). Jesus responded, “Yes, it is as you say, ‘but I say to all of you: In the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven” (Matthew 26:64). The Jewish leaders responded by accusing Jesus of blasphemy (Matthew 26:65-66).

Huzzah.

I demanded that I make my own post more nice.

The high priest said to him, "I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ,[e] the Son of God."

64"Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied. "But I say to all of you: In the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."

65Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, "He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy. 66What do you think?"
"He is worthy of death," they answered.

67Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists. Others slapped him 68and said, "Prophesy to us, Christ. Who hit you?"

John 8:58

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

The above verse is Jesus referring directly to Exodus 3:14, because Jesus is calling Himself by one of the names of God.

Exodus 3:14

God said to Moses, "I am who I am . This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.' "

"Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made" (John 1:3). This includes all the stars, all the original animals and plants, and even the angels (Colossians 1:15-17

James 2:19:
“Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well; the devils also believe, and tremble.”

Isaiah 48:16:
“I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; From the time that it was, there am I; and now the Lord God, and his Spirit, hath sent me.”

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty” (Revelation 1:8).

Genesis 1.26
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ...The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. (John 1:1,14)

He [Jesus Christ] is the image of the invisible God. (Colossians 1:15)

In Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form. (Colossians 2:9)

The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being. (Hebrews 1:3)

what is ur issue with natural disasters?

Majority of Christians believe that natural disasters are punishment from God, right? So I'd like to argue against it.

I do not think that and I have known any christians that do.

Not to say that some do not think that, or have not thought that in the past, I just have not heard any christians voice that opinion.

To me there are:

God's laws,
Nature's laws - natural disasters.
Man's law

But Religion professor told me the majority think that.

Manami,

What religion is your religion professor?

Here is a video of two pastors answering your question (or at least a question which is very much like yours).

I'll be pretty blunt with you.
Most -competant- christians don't believe Natural disasters are punishments of God. That's just..Completely untrue. I don't know why people would believe that. We live in a world of sin.
Natural -DISASTERS- are a part of sin.
Period.

Matthew 5:45
=============================================================
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
=============================================================

I believe that God can use the weather to reward those who walk close to Him and punish those who rebell, but we have no way of knowing when that is happening. As the verse above illustrates, sometimes bad weather comes to the good and good weather comes to the bad. Maybe a natural disaster is punishment for bad living or maybe it's just a natural disaster, we can't tell one from another. Without God telling us that a natural disaster is His punishment upon a group of people, I think it is not our place to say.

casemu, I don't really understand what "the world of sin" is...
You mean that the earth has control of itself?

The professor is christian but I don't remember which kind of christian..

well manami let me join you in ur argument because I'm a christian, and I find that blaming God for natural disaster is just ridiculous.

But if you died because of earthquakes, you might ask God in the heaven, "Why didn't you save me?"
I don't blame her for it, because I don't believe in heaven

I'm sorry if this offends any "true believers" out there...

But, I'm afraid that it's been PROVEN beyond a shadow of doubt that the fable of jesus is just that. A fable.
Where in ANY real history book is a jesus-character mentioned?

..In the bible? That's self-contradictory, and valueless as a historical document. No one wrote anything about this jesus in his own (supposed) lifetime. No one.

A hundred years later, we see the legend of mythera re-written as jesus' life...The church commented on this centuries ago...claiming that satan went back in time(I'm not making this up), and dis-credited jesus by making these legends..
Before he was born!

Really, people. Have faith, but don't be mis-lead by a phony church, molesting priests, or a manufactured "pope".

That's not god. That's hogwash.
