cute...absolutely the point! When a child tells another child they are a "bad" words...the child cries and runs home. If that child stops reacting to the word, it doesn't become "fun" any longer...so it stops.

I watch this interaction between my children...so I guess if we as adults would just stop reacting...it loses the fun. We've all been called many names in life, but that doesn't justify continuing it throughout our lives either.

The "N" word wasn't adopted into OUR culture, so why do we care? We decided to change the meaning to fit our own...to use it offensively. It's almost never used by a white person in reference to a black person, because we're complimenting them. That's just the problem.

If the world were equal you would be right, cutelildevil, but it is not. In America there are oppressed people trying to become what America promises all of it's citizens. Sadly, there are those who will do anything to prevent this from happening at all costs. Derogatory uses of words are more defining for those who are struggling to rise to a level of equality. Sadly, it happens to many different backgrounds, religions, sexual orientation, gender, etc..... There is a concept out there that in order to stay in power one must belittle those who are not.

Thats my point.If we stop giving these words power then they will fade from usage.Nice to see you by the way.

Why are Al Sharpton and the "Rear-End" Jesse Jackass allowed to run down not just individuals, but WHOLE FREAKING RACES OF PEOPLE, and not two words are said about it, but when Don Imus and Dog the Bounty Hunter do it, they have their livlihoods taken away from them? Dog's wasn't even in a public forum, for cryin' out loud! Also, why are blacks allowed to call whites such dorogatory terms as "honkey" and "cracker" with no fear of reprucussions? And don't forget the term "Whitey"? You hear that on TV all the time. Imagine if a white person uttered the word "Blackey". It'd be a riot in the streets! And no, I'm not a racist. I'm only saying this to show that the system is indeed not fair.

So, all I can say is, it's never FAIR what happens to people and how others can get away with it, but it's called REALITY. Sucks.

Nice try, but you haven't even began to answer anything I've brought up in my post. "It's called REALITY" is simply not an acceptible answer, that's more akin to sweeping problems under the rug. Now, I'll give you another chance:

Knox, that is the logic of the southern whites in play there. Yes, there have been and will continue to be blacks that push the line but it is because of the existing racial views that cause it. If whites would stop perpetuating the racism that is the base of the problem the other would stop happening also. Whites are in the dominant role in Americaa and have been so other races look to them for guidance on how things should be done. What do they find? A race that feels it is superior due to skin color..... prejudice. So, although many of them coming from the point of being the victimes of prejudice, will not practice what they see from the whites, many cannot see past the standard of be the criminal not the victim.

In other words, stop looking for excuses to be the a$$ and transcend the teachings and prejudice of those who have less knowledge and understanding

Well, maybe we should all stop living in the past. Just because something was done earlier is no excuse for someone to do it now. People who do this is simply attaching a "ready-made" excuse to their actions. Please don't hold me accountable for something someone else did most likely before I was born. I shouldn't be made to pay just because some guy was an idiot 50 years ago. That seems to be the mentality these days.

But why don't you try to answer my question in the previous post? I feel this "reverse-racism" is a MAJOR problem in America today, yet no one wants to address it for fear of offending someone or not being "politically correct". Well, I've never been accused of being politically correct of being fearful of offending ANYONE.
