I think it is more of a defense mechanisum-
than society in general...
People get hurt- they pull back.
Some of us never learn though...

I consider myself to be a real person however.
May hide at times- but very real!

I agree with you whole heartedly MsTeddy but we can't live in fear of getting hurt for the rest of our lives or we'll never experience everything life has to offer.

So true- we can't hide from life or it will pass us by...

Broken hearts hurt a whole lot and sometimes it seems like they'll never mend but eventually we have to learn to trust again.

I am a VERY real person and find it can make things difficult, not abiding by the beat around the bush mentality of "political correctness". Not that I am intentionally hurtful, but if you are wearing something that does not look good on you, I will let you know I do not like it on you. Where others will tell you how good you look to make you "feel good" but not for your best interest, do ya know what I mean? Well I thought I would comment, hope everyone is having a wonderful friday.

But the friendships I do make are real and deep and lasting, so I guess it pays off in the end

In the world today it seems people have 2 sides to them; the way they are at home and the way they are when they are out and about. People seem like anything that happens in their personal life is top secrets so they only share events that happen when they are out and about. But anyway as a Gemini, we are going to have to take the two sidedness back lol, though i do understand what your saying.
