Topic: Former Mingle User charged with dismembering his girlfriend | |

"Lyne had planned to go on a date to a Mariners baseball game Friday night, friends said. A neighbor told detectives she had been dating a man named John"
She had been "dating" him? My first thought when I heard about this was "why didn't she meet him someplace safe and public....evidently this wasn't her first encounter with this scum bag. No matter where or how you meet a psycho they may take their time to lure you into a false sense of safety before carrying out their evil intent. I'm not blaming her but a background check would have shown John Robert Charlton was convicted of a 2009 felony theft in Montana, negligent driving in Washington state in 1998, and a second-degree felony for aggravated robbery in Utah in 2006. |

I wonder if he had used his real picture in his profiles.

"Do your homework" is the best advice anyone can give. Now I have TWO things to watch out for, scammers AND killers. Not a good day. And many condolences to the survivors. To think that this guy was HERE on Mingle! I could've run into him and not even known it. Really scary. Almost too scary for words.

...And I thought police would have already contacted the Mingle 2 administrators since it is in the news worldwide... I just read it this morning here in Belgium...indeed so sad for the kids that are left behind. Why would they contact Mingle? I am sure every criminal killer or not has some form of social media and even if they did contact Mingle, which I highly doubt there would be a gag order on it. People who do this online dating need to be hyper vigilant is all. Do your research, meet up in public, I always recommend a small defense device like a Taser pulse (honestly for any situation really), if the hairs on the back of your neck stand up for any reason walk away believe it or not that is a great indicator. Another thing I like to do to test for truthfulness is ask the same question multiple different times (not all in the same conversation) in different ways and if you get a different answer then the persons a liar. |

Yea his facebook account is still there as well. Most likely it is so they can look at the accounts for any information that is needed.. Even if they had contacted the site we would not know about it only those in Admin would. It is scary out there you never know.. It is very sad for her and her family specially the kids.. If she had done a background check she would have come up with some red flags... I advise anyone to do some research prior... But then after 8 weeks of dating you would think that some would have surfaced.. This is just heartbreaking that people are like this ~~ Pretty sad when parents have to put a restraining order on their own kids cause they are scared of them... I found it but can't remember the link I hit it had his Police Records on it and there were several incidents on his report for different things. Restraining orders don't come up on background checks at all. I just took out an employee at one of my stores for theft, she was just hired within the past couple weeks. She had three active restraining orders on her for violence. We have the strongest background check service out there that does ours. |

They were dating over a month from what I read. The negligent driving charge isn't a crime I think one really needs to worry about. Aggravated Robbery well that's another story. |

All 3 were CONVICTIONS...not charges. Negligent driving is a crime in the state of Washington. RCW 46.61.5249 Negligent driving—First degree. (c) Negligent driving in the first degree is a misdemeanor. That conviction was followed by TWO FELONY CONVICTIONS.....which shows a possible propensity for criminal behavior which makes ALL of his crimes reason for concern. |

Then again, there's a high correlation between being a psycho killer, and living on Earth, too.
That is one reason why we extraterrestrials never considered invading planet Earth. |

Wow, a negligent driving conviction THE HORROR. By your logic someone better not even get a speeding conviction on their record or it will be a sign that they are a murderer. |

User Deactivated joncharlz's account has been deactivated. http://mingle2.com/user/deactivated/10767572 Charlton says on his POF page that he doesn't have children, although on a Mingle 2 profile, which also appears to belong to him, he says he does have children but "they live away from home." http://heavy.com/news/2016/04/ingrid-lyne-john-charlton-photos-pictures-facebook-online-dating-plenty-of-fish-profile-page/9/ |
