Topic: Do you believe in destiny? | |
---|---|
so if not destiny... then why do we meet... certain people in our lives ... we say either we learn from them ... move on from them ... stay with them ... like every one in your life right now... has thier own purpose... if not destiny then what is it ... that we have met them ... choice is good but personally don't believe... this has anything to do with destiny... unless you believe destiny put you ... right where you are now ... and or you have the choice... to get out of this ... you are right..that is a good example to explain the concept of destiny. But if you don't choose to met or talk to that certain person when is your destiny lost? I say no, it was one way but you will get another way to reac destiny and hence choices are just ways to your destiny |

Destiny is true, it unfolds in front of us as we create our futures by the decisions we make.
There is collective Destiny.... as in the decisions we make togeter as a world. Which way are we heading if nations and earthings never stop wareing instead of coming together and promise a future for future lives... |
|
|
|
destiny.... i dont think so.... everything is a matter of choice... you choose your own path with hard work and passion... you have your life today because of the choices you made... not with mere luck and destiny...

Do you believe in destiny?
I don't believe in a destiny that is inevitable, one that cannot be changed, in my opinion we make our own futures, even when events in life sometimes make us change direction. |

Yes yes yes, plus we have choice of leaving it way it's written, or work and pray hard to get it done way we want it be.

Choice, destiny and fate.....these three affects our lives. We all have destiny, but how we reach there is not necessarily determined by the choices we make in our lives but could be affected by fate, the uncontrollable and inevitable circumstances. Who would want our lives to be a failure? This is definitely not by choice coz if it is we would all want to have a happy and successful life. We do have the free will to choose but what life sometimes bring to us is not what we expect at all. Series of events in the environment and actions of the people around us could bring changes into our lives which we do not know what the future holds for us. But one thing is definite, we all have our destiny to face with uncertainty and only we will know that when we come face to face with it in the end.

My dad always said that every person's destiny is already written and events happen around to reach that goal. But I feel it is more of our choices which lead us to our destiny. What do you think? Do we have a destiny ... that is like saying things happened for a reason in your life... and that was destiny ... and I guess... destiny is when life or death accrues also ... or another way to put it is a death of oneself and you continues the rest of your life in another way ... doing good or evil but I also believe there are religions and their only way of life is a destiny calling... |

I love philosophical discussions like this!
Ever heard of quantum dimensions? Remember that show called Sliders? Different realities existing simultaneously with ours. Well, I have a theory similar that involves the concept of destiny that might relate to this topic. This is kinda complicated so if you are dissuaded by long posts you may want to skip my blurb. Here is my attempt to describe what I think about it all... At Conception: Imagine a true point. It is one dimension. At the moment of conception you exist as a true point. A moment later, a series of points are created from duration (time) that gives all possible outcomes that could have happened to you. The you that exists now, as you are, is but one of those points. The other points represent other possible outcomes including dying at the first cell division, you with a birthmark or not and so on. As time progresses, your original point and all points emanating from it persist in a sphere of reality paths that are separate from the path you know now. Every change occurring in every duration initiates a new set of points. You did not eat a certain food so your body did not develop the same as the one you are familiar with. An infinity of outcomes exist that encompass your entire life. No matter how subtle the change or when it occurred has a direct affect on the you that you know. To believe that destiny has a hand in deciding your fate is a matter of how you look at it. You can have a direct influence on the parameters of your planned life but when does anything go EXACTLY as planned? You are a product of the experiences in your life based on the stimuli that you encounter every moment of your life. Every moment of duration occurs with a multitude of destinies. This is what is called chaos. There is a you that stops reading now but there is also a you that continues to read. If you are still reading there is a you that is prevented from an action sequence at some time in the future because you attention was in reading this and not doing something else. Every moment of your life is filled with these chances. Destiny implies that your path to death is a predetermined one under a path of certain circumstances that will line up perfectly as predicted. The Universe is chaotic. I think it is very unlikely that human lives are separate because we all exist within that chaotic Universe. Your conception is the point that initiated you into being. Your death can happen at anytime after that point. We take actions to try to continue to exist. Actions that are planned or not planned and have results that can be predicted by your own life experience. Chaos sometimes interferes with those planned actions. Only, not in predictable ways or at measurable levels. What we are now is a sum of all moments and instances of our entire existence. Think of all the moments of your life as a path. A path that wiggles and loops and goes all sorts of directions. Each moment gives rise to all possible outcomes whether you choose or not. In that way, destiny is accurate in a chaotic way. Everything happens to you for a reason. Sometimes the reason is your actions but more often the reason is chaos and insignificant to a certain destiny. I just got side-tracked in thought by a police car blaring down the road. Does that mean that I will die 1 second later or earlier? Perhaps... |

...destined to achieve or fail..destined to love or be alone...destined to make a difference or be dust in the wind...hmmm...I don't think we are destined to any thing or fate..but I do think we are destined to meet people that no matter how brief the encounter...may affect your destiny...I know my life has been deeply affected by a lot of people I have encountered n this site...destined..fate...regardless ...I'm glad to exist........
