I don't know what you usually listen too, but my buddys band is a little different. Kinda 'metalish' with an opera like back-theme. www.dremora.net

i particularly enjoyed aida carmen and oh what was it..oh turindot when they were in town..as for classical music lord...they are all vastly different...all i can say is find something that feels good emotionally and listen to it a lot. the benefit of classical music is that it tends to have more complexity and bear up to repeated listenings better. not that its better, just it provides an interesting alternative.

yeah if you like metal/opera like stuff. Then check out Nightwish, Tristania, Q'ntal (not really metal but more of Gallic/Pagan music). And um........ I dunno. For classical music though....... I think the Moonlight Sonata is the greatest piece ever.

Im not sure about the opera part but for some really good classical music check out Robert W. Smith anything from The Divine Comedy is excellent . My favorite piece is The Ascension . If youve read Dante's Divine Comedy then you will find the music goes with it perfectly .

Thats Robert W. Smith not to be confused with Robert Smith from The Cure .

I'm falling in love with bach right now, and I already adore nightwish. Chopin's not bad either. It all seems so much more complex.
