The list changes all the time depending on my mood. Right now, though...

Movies in no particular order:

Casablanca
Chinatowm
Pulp Fiction
Twelve Angry Men
Judgement At Nuremberg

TV Series:

TV series are funny in that there are shows that I absolutely loved while they were on, but they have no repeat watchability (I'm not even sure if that's a word). Bearing that in mind, I will try to come up with five shows that stand the test of time.

The Twilight Zone
Seinfeld
Star Trek (the original)
Ed Sullivan: Variety shows were so effing cool and watching stuff like The Beatles when they were all fresh faced lads straight out of Liverpool is still magic
The Sopranos: I'm not really sure if this belongs on the list because I haven't watched it since its initial run, but geez... This was TV at its best.

Firefly was pretty cool. Too bad there were only 14 episodes. The Prisoner was also a great series with a very short run.

Absolutely, 5 is not enough, but I had to make it a low number so our lists would vary...
Clearly would of had some of the ones you all chose...

Can't believe I left out:
Smokey and the bandit, the good the bad and the ugly, the crow, troy, married with children...

I'm satisfied with my list, but man those were good ones to me too..

Although I'm thinking about replacing real world with, I Love Lucy...
That woman was something else...

Not surprised that twilight zone, star trek, and Friends made multiple appearances...
Heard so much about them, just never watched...nor the movie the Notebook...

I miss I Love Lucy!!!

You haven't watched The Notebook???

It's one of the most talked of movies
A best selling novel by Nicholas Spark
Those that watch the movie either fall in love or really hate it
It is dubbed as an emo movie
But both men and women are known to love it

Yea the I Love Lucy collection will eventually be mine...

The Notebook gets talked about as a great movie, but what is it about?

I may never watch it...its too late in my "book"...

How Do I pick only 5?
Well, Here is 5 but I reserve the right to ammend.

Movies:

*Cleopatra (1963)
Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton need I say more?

http://www.watchfreemovies.ch/watch-movies/1963/watch-cleopatra-134601/
Youtube had a good quality of this full movie but I think its gone now.
I did find a version but the screen is cut off a little

**The Ten Commandments (1956)
Charlton Heston, Yul Brenner & Ann Baxter. A Powerful movie, Demille Sure knew how to make them!

***John Carter (2012)
Based very well on Edgar Rice Burroughs 'A Princess Of Mars'
One of my favorite authors is ERB. I have read the Barsoom Series many times. I went to this movie expecting a disaster but I was impressed at the accuracy of some stuff and let down by ommissions. I underst6and why things had to be ommitted tho.

****Godzilla (2014)
The Legendary Reboot of the Big Guy. This version replaces my previous favorite Gojira (1954)

http://www.watchfreemovies.ch/watch-movies/1954/watch-gojira-135097/

http://www.watchfreemovies.ch/watch-movies/2014/watch-godzilla-99226842/

I will ALWAYS be a fan of Godzilla!

*****Transcendence (2014)
Yeah, Its got Johnny Depp in it but that isn't why I like it. Ever since I read Eric Drexler's Engines Of Creation I have been fascinated by Nano-Technology. This movie depicts Nano-tech brilliantly if not limitedly but it is the closest I have seen to what Drexler described.

Okay, There's Five Movies...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
**************************************
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Now for 5 TV Series... Hmmm...

* Criminal Minds (Currently Running) 2005-Present
Not only do I like the actors and actresses I find the cases intriguing. Some of the season acrs are a bit hokey but they do display some twisted scenarios. One thing I like are the Quotes before and after each episode.

http://www.watchfreemovies.ch/watch-tv-shows/2005/watch-criminal-minds-13860/
Season Premier is Wednesday September 30th

**The Big Bang Theory (Currently Running) 2007-Present
I started watching because Kaley Cuoco is beautiful but she cut her hair and lost some of her charm when she married. Sheldon is usually 'spot on' when he talks and I hate to admit it but I understand him. I have always been attracted to shows that depict smart people like Doogie Houser MD and The Pretender. While popular shows that are stupid I don't care for much like Simpsons & Family Guy. I find them insultingly stupid.

http://vodly.to/tv-9594-The-Big-Bang-Theory
S9x02 is 9/28

***Surface 2005 Only One Season
Giant Sea Monsters, need I say more, LOL

http://www.watchfreemovies.ch/watch-tv-shows/2005/watch-surface-176555/

****Firefly 2002 and the movie Serenity 2005
The Show and the Movie MUST be watched together. I found it refreshng and still do. I love the way they talk!

http://www.watchfreemovies.ch/watch-tv-shows/2002/watch-firefly-37163/

http://vodly.to/watch-1901-Serenity

*****Babylon Five [B5]1994-1998
Why did this show qualify in my top 5? Delenn, thats why. No I am not infatuated with the actress(But she is pretty). When she describes the Mimbari Religion It clicked as pretty accurate.
"We are the Universe trying to understand itself"

http://www.watchfreemovies.ch/watch-tv-shows/1994/watch-babylon-5-9804/

There are so many that could be in any of those spots!
