Words, the tools that brought them all together
Sharing tomes and verses relentlessly
A variation of souls,they flock like birds of a feather.
We've had poems that made us laugh and cry and some that have left us with a sigh
Whimsical fantasies have graced these pages
There are so many wonderful writers whose
offerings has had us all enthralled for ages
A journey to the milky way via some of our poets pens
Even held stars in our hands,played with childhood memories and made friends
Their imaginations have made us take steps into the unknown
And we've watched as the talents of others have grown
They've reached across culture's great divide
by throwing out an open invitation for all to step inside
We've shared their world and inner thoughts
So much happiness their rhymes have brought
We have had the pleasure to share so freely
The writings of our poets, shared so merrily
To name a single person would be unfair
But I do know we all have our favourites,I do declare
Isn't it wonderfuly to see words that appeal to all?
Some have spoken of winter,summer spring and fall
Others have written of loves' first stirring
There's even been a few that have told of passion........very daring
Marriages, births and yes, some have spoken of death
And still their words keep coming,there is still a ton to come, yet
A toast as well to all the readers of this forum
and to others who have posted quotes of decorum
Yes, I do believe in giving credit where it is due
So now I make use of the opportunity and this I will do
To the men and women who pen words of enjoyment
Here's to your talents,your words have been well spent

Pain and Confusion
When time makes you feel stuck on one floor,
the world makes no sense anymore.
Support you once had no longer exists,
you walk around clenching your fists.
You can't sleep because your mind is racing,
there's too much anxiety you are facing.
The ones you want don't want you anymore,
love has closed the very last door.
The turmoil, ugliness, bitterness and strife,
just add on to this mixed up life.

I wrote this poem and it is goint to be published...I felt this way before I signed on to justsayhi.com now I have met several people and am seeing my way out of this!

Marj there is no one that could have put it any better than you just did upon this page. Those are beautiful words from within a beautiful soul. One that I have had the honor to get the chance to see within. One that not only has the gift with words but a true heart. One that don't mind that you see they have a heart. Lol but......... one also that is a very strong willed and mimd and not afraid to show it.

I agree with all you have said even if we do have our favorites they don't have to be posted by names for they may be a favorite but in no way does it mean the others are not just as good or maybe even better. We all have our on opinion but in no way are they law.

What a great way you expressed for all to read. For those that share there written words upon the page.

Tee hee, I knew I would get you unsung heros to come out of hiding

I have spent many hours ( very happy ones I may add ) reading the poems generously posted here.It gladdens my heart to see all walks of life posting here. At one time I dispaired that the writing and reading of poetry had reached a sad demise,not anymore,not since coming here. Visiting these pages for me is a varitable feast.

Thanks Bonnie for that wonderful poem and the expressions you put into it. I, myself as one of the poets enjoy posting what I have written in and sharing my heart and thoughts that I have written on paper. I enjoy reading all the others as well. Keep up the posts people.
