Topic: Hero turns to zero! | |

Who is your hero/heroine in your real life?
Most of my imaginary heroes turn to be a big zero when I happen to meet them accidently. |

My Hero was my granny..........never let us down...

One of my friends has survived many physical pitfalls. He's a bit brain damaged, but it doesn't stop him. He sometimes stammers a lot, too.

I have a nephew in his mid 20's who was paralyzed from the waist down in a accident. Here you have a kid who could easily give up or be bitter.
But he never is, he fights every day and has accepted what has happened and has adjusted his life. He always has a big smile on his face, always happy and finds new ways to make his life better. He drives now ( a specially equipped van) and he is as independent as can possible be. He is at every family party and he works on a computer and makes a pretty nice living. He never gives up... never Mike is my hero. |

My last living uncle, is the Hero in my life.
He has buried 3 of his 4 sons. And yet he is a rock. Always there when needed. He is the unofficial 'Mayor' of San Miguel de Allende. The most wonderful, steadfast man in the world :-) |

My parents, they both had totally crap childhoods, yet they overcame that to be fantastic parents and totally wonderful people. They're not perfect and that's a good thing because they taught me that mistakes and failures are a part of life, it's how you deal with them that makes you the person choose to be.

My parents. They neally lost me to asthma many times and I spent a lot of my childhood in hospital, my mom would always stay with me 24/7 while my dad took care of my twin and older sister.
Also my dad worked all the hours god sends to provide us with everything we needed, plus a lovely house in a lovely safe area and excellent schools, all while my mom was raising twins and my 18 month older sister. And with me being so poorly that cant have been easy. and to this day, always being there for me in every way. Also my parents saved my life in November when my mom found me dead in my room, if it wasn't for their actions while waiting for the paramedics I wouldn't be here. |
