Pieces of my broken dreams tumble to the beaten path

quietly,hauntingly,hopelessly love slips through an open door,

as if un- touched by the very lives it once held together.



Darkness fills my once bright eyes.

Now, destiny crams herself down my throat.

Only the bitter taste of sorrow survives where there is no light.



Something inside me cries,

what's left of me slowly dies.



Shattered lives fall softly back to their wombs,

and death comes swiftly to those who can not fight.



Great walls construct themselves around a now occupied one person shell,

where I awake,

alone.



At night, the voices and laughter of my fate keep me awake.

I wonder, as I grow weary, how can a heart in pieces,

still beat.


Loneliness eats my will,

misery accompanies me in your stead.

Still I wonder,

In a world full of people, does anyone else know,

we are all just one mistake, one break-up, one death away,

from,

madness
