I'm confused as to why men either in the caveman days or now would think to control women when they are not a threat to anyone. I also see how much better the world would be if men would just support, protect and care for women, since they are the mothers of all and only will benefit all. It's perplexing to say the least, what a strange world. You make a good point about control. I believe this is the basis for the many wars we have in our world. Many men do support, protect and care for women. Many women do support, protect and care for men. It is unfortunate that not all do the same for each other. |

The roles that was done for men/women back in the cavemen days worked for them.. It was not so much of a control issue but instead as protection. The men then were the protectors.. The women took care of the kids, preparing the food the men hunted.. ect..
It worked for them does not mean they were controlling.. Life and times have changed.. You either change with the times or get left in your own little world.. Men/Women have done a lot of changes through out time. We all have a choice what type of partner we want to be with. If a man/woman does not have the quality we look for we have a choice not to be with them. Therefore it is up to us who we are with, and no ones fault but our own if we choose one that wants to dominate or be controlling. If they are that way then so be it. If it works for them and the one they are with then who has the right to complain? Men/Women are different in many ways no reason to find fault in the way a person thinks or acts. Just walk away from the ones that does not fit a persons specifications. |

I don't know why people think gender equality means being the same? Equality is only about supporting what the woman does and not dominating that's all it means to me. domination can occur only if one lets it happen. submission is a choice. sometimes based on our own need to please. people treat us how we let them. I CHOOSE not to let it happen again. I CHOOSE not to be victim of somebody's unwanted advances again. I CHOOSE to know some basic self defense to know how yo have a fighting chance. at the same time I CHOOSE to enjoy life. I CHOOSE to value and respect myself.
