It's too bad you can't see this is about all women, not just you or me, and that your reasoning is faulty and part of the problem.

Of course it is the other person's reasoning that is faulty.
It can never be the OP's reasoning that is faulty.

Of course I can be wrong, please show me if I am. My argument is that perhaps cavemen may not have been sexist as it didn't serve any useful purpose then and it doesn't now, women are not a threat to men. Maybe cavemen were very nice to women and helped out with the cave chores.

Man needs to realize that Woman gave Him life, not so he can mistreat Her. Unless this is fixed, men will continue to be the creators of their own destruction. So, good luck with that guys.

men need women way more than women need men, if every male on the planet disappeared, humans could/would survive... not so true if women disappeared...

but i think there is a balance in all things, including this so called "inequality" between men and women...

If women didn't think men could do better, they would stop having babies. I think men are bashing themselves, each other and everything else, because they're not satisfied with what women gave them; life. Really they can do better, it starts with better education, the next generation does better and so on, until this sexist mentality is wiped out from our collective minds, and is just a distant memory there to remind us what a mistake that was. Sexism against women is just like a big religious brainwashing.

well, one thing you are forgetting is that the woman didn't give me life alone, there was a man involved... so you can sit there and hate men all you want, it won't ever hurt the men, only you... you built your walls, so all your doing now is making them taller...

Actually, if I follow all kinds of theories out there, then Man was created in God's image. Or man was created from some ooze. Or man can from planet Erection as he was made by those little green men with antennas on top of their heads. Woman may give man life now but man has to put that sperm up for sale for it happen....last I checked. But hey....I'll be submissive. She wants to rule the world then I'm all about fishing, playing sports and living off of her wealth. I'm all for equality their.

maybe I'm old fashioned but I prefer many of those roles, but I am in no means dependent or weak or anything. I am a strong woman and can take care of my own and stand my ground, but if being old fashioned means a caveman...why not

I'm not forgetting that. It takes pleasure for the man to do his part. Men would think twice before sex if they could have babies too. But women know what they're getting into, they would stop but they believe men will change even though they're told not to.

dreamerana,
I'm saying that women think men will evolve on their own and that's why they continue to have babies. I'm not a scientist so I can't say for sure, but I do have a child.

Let's just say you, Estelle, is the one who thinks that men will evolve... and that not all women think so! And not all men should be put into that pool too.

NOT all women
NOT all men

but SOME men and SOME women! And in some instances, just you, Estelle!

You are intelligent but confused, for in one sentence you make sense, BUT then in the next, you just contradict yourself. And I don't like that you have appointed yourself as the spokeswoman of us 'women' as there are so many instances where you put us in a bad light! So, just say 'I, Estelle' next time. Thank you!

I want to know what's in it for you women to defend sexism against women. Or defend feminism as if it meant doing it alone, being both man and woman and in 2 places at once. What do you women derive from this stance? I am just curious since you seem to want to share your views. I do speak for myself as a woman, it is obvious I can only speak that much. I only have one voice, don't worry..

See.... there you go again! You women, and you women! As if you aren't a woman!
And as you said, you have only one voice, so, you are you, so you don't speak for me!

As for whether I am for or against sexism, feminism or whatever, I reserve my comments as it is only MY own thoughts, and don't represent others.

Cavemen ........Hmmmm, I rather like the idea of when men went hunting and women tended the house, oops cave, have children, and did what women were supposed to do!bigsmile bigsmile bigsmile pitchfork

I can't and I don't speak for all women, I only have one voice, it's not a threat to you and your opinions. You are just as strong minded and have your own.

I wasn't saying anything against the cavemen, if you read back that wasn't my point. I was saying that it may have been to their benefit to support women, so that women could be women and men could be men respectfully. I am not convinced that cavemen wanted to control women and I was pointing out it could have been that sexism against women was created later on and was a mistake since women are not a threat to men and don't need to be controlled. Wouldn't the answer be for men to become feminists?

You are not a threat, Estelle! I am strong minded too.... but I won't and don't bulldoze my way and force my way of looking at things! And I don't speak for the other women.

Everyone has their own ways and the cultural differences also play a part. I sometimes wish, and I mean, I as in me....I wish men would be more like the cavemen of days gone where they would bring back the bread and meat, and we, women would be doing what we women were biologically meant to.... bear children, nurse the children, tend to them..... and let the men be the providers/breadwinner, the protectors, the head of the family!

The idea of feminism has sometimes being more negative then positive, in that, some might view it as equality in every sense!

Oh estelle .. You should add that line to your profile .. ... Looking for a feminist man ... Best of luck .. Lmao

I like my man manly .. Grrrrr tongue2

I don't think you understand what I meant but again I will explain it and say a man who believes in being equal in our differences in lieu of using the word feminist. Do you agree that a man can be protective and provide and be and manly without being abusive and controlling?
