I would like to say to all the ladies and gents out there if you have no information in your profile how is a person supposed to start a conversation with you? Starting a conversation usually starts over a common interest or perhapse a witty comment in your profile. but under intrests if it says I'll tell you later and under introduction it just says HI!! and nothing else is filled out how do you expect for someone to think hey i like the way this person thinks or hey i do that too even if we dont click as more then friends at least we can hang out together.. the only thing you leave a person to go on it your photo and ladies most of you dont want to be looked at just for looks and guys it is not always good to be looked at like a slab of meat.. show some substance fill out the profile so we can all chat and have fun!!!

Actually, using the forums is a good idea!

I may be doing this all backward. I put what I don't like on my profile because that is a lot shorter and I am basically a friendly person. I read a lot about getting acquainted on the forums, but I don't even know where to begin looking... for what kind of conversations. Can you all point me in the right direction? I opened up who can send me messages but now I am getting too many that are really looking like spam/phishing whatever the term is...

I understand your issue. I choose to have profile that is complete and full for all to know about me and what I desire. I also choose to be part of the forums to build relationships. This reflects my behavior outside of the online world. If I see a profile that is incomplete, I pass and move on. If I see someone post an interesting message, I look at their profile to understand who they are and really know them just as I would if we met in real life. I did a lot of this before I started to contribute my $0.02 out of respect. I continue to do this as you will see I looked at your profile to understand you and your words better. It is just who I am.

Teal and others are correct. It is their choice to look to the forums for building relationships. I fully support them as I know that women are more likely to be harassed and receive unsolicited messages. It is just an unfortunate fact.

Originally I left a lot out of my profile because I wanted to check the site out and go back to fill in the details. Then I discovered the forums. You can learn more about me there than based on what I could put in a profile. For example, I would never put in a profile how stubborn and opinionated I can be, but if you read my remarks in various forums, it's obvious that I am. I prefer getting to know people and letting them get to know me that way.

i truly understand where you are all coming from but i am a bit shy at times hence if you look at my profile i do not show my entire face and most of it is covered with a beard anyway. and i understand that women get a lot of creepy guys trying to message them but at least a little bit wold be nice to know.. that is just my opinion and i thank you all for taking the time to post a reply. and just so ya know i have put profiles on other sites and I am not saying that people here are that way but on many other sites a lot of the women without a filled out profile are cam models or escorts.. and i have not had any of those message me here yet but my post was kinda related to bad experiences.. so far what i see here though it is different

Like in the real world, it's a person's appearance that initially attracts most people in my opinion, so I have several photos in my profile, but only a very few words about myself in addition to completing the standard details. I believe if someone is interested enough they will contact you, and you can learn all about each other then. I do agree that a profile with more details about yourself is better when people read it, which is not always the case through lack of time.

Humm but if they have pictures where you can not see their faces is that not just as important as filling out the profile??

Pictures that are too far away and you can not get a clear picture of their faces I will no longer even considering meeting or talking to them on those terms..

There is nothing wrong with your profile.. The way I see it you can write a book or a few lines it does not matter... If they are worth getting to know you will find that out in e-mails..
