So, a new year and a new whole load of work! It differs for each person, but how do you guys cope with the workload and trying to unwind after a hard days at work.
For me, I used to relax with a movie or a book, but don't get to do that if the work is still there bothering me. Working from home means no fixed working time. Going out is not an option either, cos' my work involves me sitting here in front of the computer to get it done, so, here I am stuck on my backside.
Since being in Mingles, I take time off, pop in, read some posts, laugh if there is anything to laugh at...... put in my 2cts worth, and have some fun posting if I can.

Work? What is this thing that you Humans call "work"?

I can't relax after work, as i have a 4 week old son to help look after when i get home and he doesn't follow any timetable!

What you Melmacians do....when you are not sleeping or doing nothing! But you guys may not be paid for that stuff!

So, do you change the nappies? Bottle feed? Put him to sleep...take turns at night when baby cries???

Being thru' that...so, what you can do, is put your little boy on your chest while you relax on the couch with a movie or do something that you call relaxation.

Looking after the wee man is a 50/50 thing and this is my 2nd kid. Done it all before!!

If you forget what sleep is, then you can always look it up in a dictionary.

Same here, sure its nice to be able to go to work without pants, but work is never done. Worse part is my boss is constantly around me, even when I'm off.

. never really off work..lol..

.. and looking after my house, and kids ..it's not exactly work..
. it's more of my responsibility..

.. but when I do want to relax..

.. I sit in front of my 50 inch.. boob tube.lol... cup of coffee in one hand..
. and my mobile device.. in the other hand... reading and posting on here...
... but as a single father of two....

.. I generally relax long enough to have a cup of coffee.. for example.
right now I'm watching alien vs predator.. posting this.. half a cup of coffee on the coffee table.. and a sink full of dishes soaking in hot water..

.lol... just waiting for a commercial break.. .

Normaly,some comedy or fun watch movie/show/cartoon.....with some pinched in tea or hot water/some fruit or roasted groundnuts..... Hopefully I don't doze off before bath time....in which case I'd just bathe and nod off..

First thing I do when I get home from work is take my dog on a brisk 2 mile walk, then I take a shower, eat something and hit the sack. I work 2 jobs so I try to sneak in a few hours of sleep when I can.

Sounds absolutely relaxing........ pamper yourself sometime!

So so true.......work is never done! One job done, the next two files are there waiting for you. And the clients are breathing down my neck come dateline.

For me it is nice to work in sleeveless T's and shorts at home, and when I go out.....no skirts, it is pants

Just don't make an A$$ of yourself though while playing it though?

LOL......that sounds like what I used to do! Doing the chores during commercial break, which sometimes can last for 5 or 10 minutes.
Nowadays, I just leave the chores to the children, you should once they are old/big enough.

Ooh...just do love coffee, but never when I want to relax! Keeps me awake too much. I prefer a drink.......beer/liquor/stout/milk/hot chocolate!
