Topic: How do you relax after a hard days at work?

So, a new year and a new whole load of work! It differs for each person, but how do you guys cope with the workload and trying to unwind after a hard days at work. For me, I used to relax with a movie or a book, but don't get to do that if the work is still there bothering me. Working from home means no fixed working time. Going out is not an option either, cos' my work involves me sitting here in front of the computer to get it done, so, here I am stuck on my backside. Since being in Mingles, I take time off, pop in, read some posts, laugh if there is anything to laugh at...... put in my 2cts worth, and have some fun posting if I can. After work? make myself coffee, watch films, can�t forget Mingle either , while watching films do some beadwork if I�m not too tired... Read always on my way from home to work and opposite. Not so much at home. I also consider buying darts - my boss is a great inspiration for that

First thing I do when I get home from work is take my dog on a brisk 2 mile walk, then I take a shower, eat something and hit the sack. I work 2 jobs so I try to sneak in a few hours of sleep when I can. Oh...Jack! Hope you get some 'me time' sometime! No matter how busy I am, I try to take some time off....like now to just not work, and indulge in something I like to do. Hope the new year brings you some leisure time.

Beadworks......any good pieces you have done?

Wow..they are beautifully done! I like them all As for me, whether I or my brother would cook my favorite meal. Then we will eat together, me, my brother and my sister. Have some chit chats, laughing and sharing stories with them and at the same time checking on M2...lol.

Sometimes I play pin the tail on the donkey .. Atleast I think it is a donkey .. Laughing .. Anyway it is very therapeutic :-) Is that a metaphor for..erm. . That's a big toy..haha

I'm not good as in chef quality...just edible, and sometimes it does turn up well!! (according to my kids anyway )

I have rugby practice after work or either training for the sport or doing martial arts. Its the only way that relaxes me, a strenous workout or sport

I have rugby practice after work or either training for the sport or doing martial arts. Its the only way that relaxes me, a strenous workout or sport I think if your work all day has been sitting around .... you would want to break into a sweat and then relax after that. Used to go jogging, play games or swim after office hours where work was all day pounding on the keyboards.

Smoke a little,turn on some music,then work on a puzzle or catch up on some reading.

Didn�t have too much time for that during the last half of a year. But I was thinking about starting selling it regularly, to have a bonus income.

gym, tennis, music, reading = stress busters ! Hi ElleRose! In that order? Work out, exercise, relax relax... great! Smoke a little,turn on some music,then work on a puzzle or catch up on some reading. Looks like we all have a common way to relax somewhat....music, book & reading. I always have the music on....whether I am working or relaxing, even when I go to bed. Soft music.....perfect way to relax!
