I looked at the profiles,it was very interesting and unexpected for me that most of them are good looking,educated and kind people with a good sense of humor:)

Now my question is why should they look for a friend inside a screen and not outside in their daily lives?
Is it because of the limited time or searching more people just by a click?

dunno about everyone else, but for me....few single ladies in hundreds of miles of me...and...you get a broader selection by going online...and making friends from all walks and areas of life

I am retired, so I have time. I just can't walk up to someone on the street and say "hi, wanna grab a cup of coffee"?! It just isn't natural or safe. Unless you already know them, of course. Then it still might not be safe!! In here and online, you can get to know most of the "real and honest" people slowly, through the forums and writing e-mails. Eventually you may exchange IM info and chat in real time and then on the phone or write letters. I guess its more of a courtship. You can pretty much figure out the game players pretty quickly. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it!! Good luck and welcome to JSH!!

I am pretty much secluded, I work from home and care not to go out and about in the night life..plus I live in the country and most people in my area are married or attached in some way.

My life is work, meetings and home right now. Kind of isolated. This is a fun place to meet new friends and hang out.

I am new to my area, live around next to nothing to do. Being in the middle of a divorce on top of it I try to spend as much time with my kids as I can.

my life is work and kids..its just easier to talk to ppl online....you cn meet ppl from everywhere...i like it! And when i do have time to go out and meet ppl i get shy

I'm sure my experience is the same as everyopne else's. Once you're done with school, if you don't meet people you like at your job, then what else is there? Its a challenge these days to find a social life.
