Why not meet people on line? At least you can say hello with out sounding like a kook. I am from the south were smile and subtle conversation is a little more relaxed but still what can you learn about someone in a 3 minute personal conversation as busy as our lives are today. I am certainly not going to mix my personl life in with my work or vounteer activiities. Relative fixups are usually a disaster. Now that my kids are grown and flown it sounds silly to obsess on their lives. hear you can kind of get a vibe about a person. Beats an obnoxious bar or a sporting event where you have to scream to be heard. Even if the Single ratio is 40 or 50% it is not like anyone wears a sign.
