Not a photo, but a youtube vid, I was so happy to find it! Ray Mears in the Red Heart, Australia. Not at Uluru where I've lived for half a year in a community with the Anangu, bit further south, another community (Amata), also Pitjantjara tribe .. Reminds me of the good ole days in Oz .. The things I've seen and done, including eating honey ants (also in the clip ) Still sounds familiar to hear Anangu speak Pitjantjara, which I was learning myself at the time.. Rarely felt so at home in life as with the Anangu Me at work, way back then. Think the only job I've ever had that I really liked, expect for working in hospital as a medical assistant. Me at home, in the community, we (my roommate & I) had quite a lot of visitors. This was one of them, I was very fond of him, very sweet man :) Uluru, quite amazing to think this was basically in my backyard .. Wow great photos Rock! Love the bears. Crystal, That must have been an amazing experience. I was to Australia in my youth but never got to Ayers Rock, so wish I had.

Nice picture :) And again maple syrup .. the flag, lol And yeah, living in an Aborigianal community at Uluru was pretty amazing! Even though it was for a short time.

a very unusual alder tree, it looked like it had a mouth.. Ever had a look inside of a hollow tree? This is the same hollow alder

Not out, too wet outdoors .. Been busy pretending to be Bob the Builder, a role I really don't like, but .. I succeeded :D Learnt that using a spirit-level is not the way to go, lol. Anyway, my little room fountain has a place again

Nice! I wished springtime was here again ... And then early summer :) The sweet lovely scent of lavender and roses in my garden, bumble bees happily humming away ..

Nice photos! Looks like you got a good camera! The weather is as dull over here .. The other day I was thinking: "The garden hasn't been flooded yet this year!" I shouldn't have.. cos we're getting there, lol.
