Not a photo, but a youtube vid, I was so happy to find it! Ray Mears in the Red Heart, Australia.
Not at Uluru where I've lived for half a year in a community with the Anangu, bit further south, another community (Amata), also Pitjantjara tribe ..

Reminds me of the good ole days in Oz .. The things I've seen and done, including eating honey ants (also in the clip )
Still sounds familiar to hear Anangu speak Pitjantjara, which I was learning myself at the time.. Rarely felt so at home in life as with the Anangu


Me at work, way back then. Think the only job I've ever had that I really liked, expect for working in hospital as a medical assistant.




Me at home, in the community, we (my roommate & I) had quite a lot of visitors. This was one of them, I was very fond of him, very sweet man :)




Uluru, quite amazing to think this was basically in my backyard ..

Crystal, That must have been an amazing experience.
I was to Australia in my youth but never got to Ayers Rock, so wish I had.

And yeah, living in an Aborigianal community at Uluru was pretty amazing! Even though it was for a short time.

Not out, too wet outdoors .. Been busy pretending to be Bob the Builder, a role I really don't like, but .. I succeeded :D
Learnt that using a spirit-level is not the way to go, lol.
