are we supposed to dress more matronly starting at what age?

55 maybe ?
i still find ladies attractive at such age , and if they had a well shaped body , that can still be good enough in short skirts ...

Nothing wrong with knee length? For work okay, too long for going out purposes. I wouldn't wear a skirt that long to a pub/club.
Sure some stuff that has 'teenager' written all over it might be somewhat over the top, but I wear what I wanna wear. Which to a club/pub is usually something gothicy.
My daughter sometimes says stuff like "but you cannot do or wear that?"
I just smile. She'll find out at some point, when she herself is 40 something, that you can indeed do or wear what you feel comfy in.
Dressing matronly, hopefully never!

My dad is a decent dresser. Of course, he maybe a hipster & sometimes, I like to offer my advise on dressing up to help him with the ladies.

I read through some of the replies here & yes, sometimes teens are carried away on wearing something totally inappropriate for their age. A funny recent observation as my friends & I were at the mall. A teen probably age 15 walked pass us with a really short daisy dukes & the weather outside was really windy. One of my friends blurted out "Poor girl, her couchie is probably freezing!" Which I then replied, "Go cover it before it gets blown away." ..."Gone with the wind couchie!" was the theme on that day.

The most attractive thing a woman can wear is a confident smile...

If a woman is confident and happy with herself then she will be radiant in whatever she wears...

If overweight women can go out in public wearing spandex, then why can't a man go out in public wearing a Speedo? indifferent

Speedos are glorified codpieces shades

I couldn't find a codpiece maker in my village.
So, I settled on wearing a funyun.

My daughter is so funny. I will put on something conservative and she will say that I need to put a little lacy spaghetti strap on instead.

A funyun is an edible snack, shaped like an onion ring.

Today, my sister took me shopping for a gift. I found a cute black knee length skirt. She asked aren't you a little old to wear that?
so my question to everyone: is there an age to stop wearing cute clothes? are we supposed to dress more matronly starting at what age?

..... when you have vericose veins or cankles,or cottage cheese thighs. and not until. If you have nice legs you should wear them proudly.

well just because everyone does it isnt a good reason. If every one decided to get naked everyone shouldnt follow. Be a lot of people heaving their guts out Me thinks.

I think sexy is more clothes not less. Naked takes the mystery out of things.Well until its dark and we are all alone.

I disagree with your sister.Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For myself I don't think there is anything more sexy than a mature woman who looks good and has the confidence to wear something that compliments her.Go for it us older guys need something nice to look at to LOL!
