well first off.. a big thank you to the. providers of mingle..   ... and secondly..
. another big thank you to. the mingle Lords.. . who always shine. the light onto our darkness.. .. because without their skill.. at deleting and .erasing..
. we would all be forever reminded.. of our past discretions. . and inconsiderate . and thoughtless moments.. . when we may have forgotten!.. that a community is built upon.. . tolerance,. respect. and the freedom .for. sharing.. of opinions ideas and ..philosophies.....WoW... now that I have the bottom kissing out of the way..     ....lol..jk...
.. but seriously like any community... you have the neighbors that you.. do wine tastings with.. you have the neighbors you borrow tools from... you also have neighbors.. who have children.. that your children play with... you have the hot neighbor.. that you want to borrow sugar from.. or have them come unclog your pipes..lol.. . you also have the neighbor.. that has a lifetime of wisdom and advice.. to offer up... every community has that nosey neighbor..lol.. . and then there is the! shy and keep to themselves neighbor.. .. also.. the overly opinionated neighbor... and the handy person neighbor.... there is that techno neighbor .. the arts and crafts neighbor... the hoarder neighbor.. the free spirited neighbor.. .... the neighbor that has a recipe for everything.. the flirtatious neighbor.... at the end of the Day if I was to host a block party... I would invite each and every one of them.. to come out and mingle...... because without any one of them.. you would not have a community........  
. I think this is very well stated No.1! I appreciate everyone here in the forums and all for different reasons, nevertheless there is always something to be gained and learned from each personality and they each have brought up points which have given me thoughts to consider. Thank everyone for that aspect and I wish happiness and contentment to each and every one of them.

2Kids and Blondie are very sweet and patient individuals, never lacking compassion, always offering attention, no matter the random nature of my concern.
Fear is a friend. He's fun. We've collaborated. kc is my friend. He's a brilliant writer. soufiehere - Brilliant and beautiful, always with something poignant to say. A moderator here whose name not be mentioned, that I truly respect and also think is an absolutely beautiful woman with an independent spirit and absolute resolve. Too many online and now met to name. There are disagreements and different judgments, but we are absolutely a community that sticks together; some small town of different personalities percolating against the thoughts of others. "Life's a garden. Can you dig it?" I edited this because I could not forget to add teasing. I love you, kiddo. You write some of the most beautiful words that I have ever read. sweetestgirl11 - Always boiling with something to offer. A beauty. I really do have love for almost all of you. Haha. |

Gidday everyone......The dilemma of a list......a list is a very private piece of your life, we all know that feeling of patting your pocket or rifling around in your bag and thinking wheres that damn list. Losing one can ruin your day.
So to the posters that don't get acknowledged......it doesn't matter its just his personal list....we all have them.....if 3 or 4 of us put our lists the threads would end up at this place, right here, just with different posters. I am always humbled when I make a list....thanks dude.....but I think your name should be added to your own list, in amongst thousands of your fellow countrymen we have one that understands somewhat the ways of interacting with western cultures.....Maybe you should set up an academy for all the posters and teach them how to behave here.
This thread should wind down.....but its does have a mind of its own atm. |

I appreciate the mingle community. there are some we might have a big crush on. there are some who are to be admired because it seems they truly live by their beliefs. I admire that whether or not their beliefs are my own. there are many we learn from. mostfof all it is a community. much as we may debate issues, we see peoplehere who care. who are supportive and eencouraging. I appreciate all of it.

its weird how we can forget people who are important to us. My worst memory of forgetting was when my son was 5. I promised to record Dexters Lab while he was at Kindergarten. He didnt want to go to school because his fave show was on during the schoolday. When he got home he said, "So...what did you do today?" I rattled off the inane things I did with my day. "Didnt you do anything else?!" he said frantically. I replied 'not much, why?' "You didnt tape Dexters Lab for me like you promised?!!" screaming thru his tears. He was devastated, and so was I. It makes me think that I taught him that he cannot always count on me. 
13 years ago, and it still breaks my heart right the fork open. I think we just get so wrapped up in our own life we subconsciously block out others......usually until it is too late, every now and again we have to pull up and reflect...or....wheres that damn list so I don't forget.

I enjoy taking time out of my life to post my thoughts on mingle. Like everyone else before me I have my list of favorites and people I contact from time to time but the thing I find the most rewarding is the posters I think I do not like, the ones who post something and I roll my eyes, or disagree with 99% of the time and then on a serious post they write something that I also feel deep inside and the thoughts hits me, Damn I was wrong about them they are really nice. It feels good when I connect mentally with them and I guess yes you can learn something about people no matter how many you meet and how old you are.
