Proverbs 3:2-6
For length of days and years of life, and peace they will add to you. Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and man. "Trust the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. |

1 Corinthians 15 : 55 .
O death , where is thy sting ? O grave , where is thy victory ? Wm. Shakespeare, Pt. 2 King Henry VI O ! where is faith ? O , where is loyalty ? If it be banished from the frosty head , Where shall it find a harbor in the earth ? -- Wilt thou dig a grave to find out war , And shame thine honorable age with blood ? Why art thou old and want'st experience ? Or wherefore dost abuse it , if thou hast it ? For shame ! in duty bend thy knee to me That bows unto the grave with mickle age. |

I the WORD
Matthew 11 : 28-30 . Come unto me , all ye that labour and are heavy laden , and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you , and learn of me ; for I am meek and lowly in heart : and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy , and my burden is light . |

Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy; O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen |

John, known as "the beloved" wrote what he heard Jesus pray....
....Neither pray I for these alone but for them also which shall believe on me through their word ; That they all may be one ; as thou , Father , art in me , and I in thee , that they also may be one in us : that the world may believe that thou hast sent me . And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them ; that they may be one , even as we are one : I in them , and thou in me , that they may be made perfect in one ;; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me . Father , I will that they also , whom thou hast given me , be where I am ; that they may behold my glory , which thou hast given me : for thou lovest me before the foundation of the world . O righteous Father , the world hath not known thee : but I have known thee , and these have known that thou hast sent me . And I have declared thy name , and will declare it : that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them , and I in them . John 17: 20-26 . |

ROMANS 5 :14-21. (the debt of sin was paid in Jesus' blood)
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses , even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression , who is the figure of him to come. But not as the offense , so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead , much more the grace of God ,and the gift by grace , which is by one man , Jesus Christ , hath abounded unto many . And not as it was by one that sinned , so is the gift : for the judgement was by one to condemnation , but the free gift is of many offences unto justification . For if by one man's offence death reigned by one ; much more they receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one , Jesus Christ . Therefore as by the offence of one judgement came upon all men to condemnation ; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life . For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners , so by the obedience of one shall many be righteous . Moreover the law entered ,that the offence might abound . But where sin abounded , grace did much more abound : That as sin hath reigned unto death , even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord . |

WOW!!! in seeking to quote Isaiah, I had to battle with my mouse. I moved it somewhere on the desk, rearranged all my books and found what I was after and lost my mouse.
Then I found it where it was. But then, I could not find the cursed arrow. My cursor left the room. What are the odds of bringing it back when you know not where it is? So directing my mouse and seeking its center, I only found that it was lost again and in my hand. So like a mouse dancing on a keyboard, so were my fingers searching for its center. What a mess follows unlearned entries on a keyboard with predetermined functions . Known to the literate and elusive to me. So, I prayed. Not asking for myself, mind you. But for my mouse. Take out the batteries and re-install them. HURRAH...now I may play again in the field of the LORD. ISAIAH 53 : 11. He shall see of the travail of his soul , and shall be satisfied : by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many ; for he shall bear their iniquities. The Lord does have a sense of humor and has poked at mine iniquities even in this. howz that for an empty vessel? |

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen. --Reinhold Niebuhr |

Faith:
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1) And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6) If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. (James 1:5-6) |
