Hello everybody.
My last SO was a Scrabble fanatic. His present girlfriend is a lousy Scrabble player so he still comes here to play Scrabble with me. I don't think she likes it much. The last person I dated is not a Scrabble player. He says he has not played Scrabble for forty years and wasn't good at it then. He is more of a numbers person. But I think I can get him to play with a few incentives. Do you play games on dates? I don't mean head games; I mean real games. |

I used to.
But I always won. Guys do NOT like this. As I am unwilling to throw a game for ego, I do not play with them. However, I have always said, as a character test, play a game or two with a prospective mate, it will open your eyes :-) |

My ex will not throw a game for anyone, not even a child. He usually wins but once in a while I do beat him. He would rather have a challenging opponent.

The only game I've ever played on dates is pool or bowling when we used to go out with a bunch of friends.
Even though I really suck at both it was fun and sometimes made for a future outing to give me some pointers. Those days were a lot of fun |

I really enjoy naked twister. I'm just kidding. It's been awhile but use to love being with other couples and playing charades

Horse shoes, corn hole, washers, disc golf is fun. I like scrabble and battleship! Oh heck any board game or card game is fun to me!

My S/O loves Monopoly. She never played until she moved here. She is highly competitive and would be insulted if I did not give my best effort.

a girl i met in phoenix had an old family made board game similar to parchisi that we played in her backyard next to a fire.
i'm not normally much on playing board games, but it is a good ice breaker, stimulates conversation, and other things. all in all, it was worth it. good times. |

I've played games *raises hand* I'm not HUGE on'em but.. it was something fun to do when the kids were involved.. or just the occasional card game to chat and pass some time.. that said.. personally I love cribbage, and I've dated a couple of guys who know how to play however not sure if it's cuz I beat every time.. but nobody wants to play with me any more
actually.. not a lot of people know how to play the game.. |

I used to play a lot of games like madlibs, scattegories, noteability (sort of a name that tune, with a tiny little battery-operated grand piano), and what's the name of that one where you draw a picture and your teammate has to guess what it is before the other team does? Other ones, too.
My late husband and I had a group of other couples we'd have dinner with, then play games. He was great to play with at games like that, but I never played a card game with him because he was cutthroat with those and I didn't like it. I hate cribbage with an intense passion. But the one I absolutely loved that we played when we were out, were trivia games. We had a favorite restaurant that played them. You'd get a controller or box or something, and answer questions on a screen. I'd play that with someone on a date in a heartbeat. Any others, though, like board games, I'd want to wait 'til we'd dated a bit more. It is a good way to see how someone handles themselves, though. |
