i agree with that, the only way any guy should be looking @ lipstick is if he is dong a surprise basket for the woman he cares about weather it be his mom, grandma, girlfriend, wife or sister

thanks....I don;t completely agree. I think guys do the upsmanship thing so naturally that half the time they don;t even realize, but that's OK. it makes me appreciate that much more the ones who do not do that.

Some people just object to paying over the odds on principle. I don't think that it really has anything to do with being competitive most of the time. Both women and men do what you're saying. I've gone out shopping with women to buy stuff for myself like clothes and had them saying that I'm not buying something that takes my fancy when it's my money that I'm spending.

What sometimes annoys me is when people want cheapness over quality. There's a limit though and I don't like to be ripped off and have told other people that they are stupid for paying silly prices for things. It boils down to what you think something is worth. I think that you also have to take into acount how much hassle it is to get whatever it is, as well as the price.
