 I am all for meeting in Austin, since I live here, and I'm without a vehicle. @ Whatthehey...Don't worry about not having a vehicle. We will make sure you get to the meetup if you wish to come and I'm sure several of us who do have cars will not mind one bit coming to pick you up so you can join the fun. @ Carold...BTW meant to ask you who is Lee and is he interested in coming also? Just an update on the meetup in Sept. We are coming along nicely, still researching various options for accommodations, pricing and activities available in various areas. We are still getting interest from other locations as well, so it's looking very good as of right now. I'll keep you posted on the progress, but probably not on a day-to-day basis. We decided on Sept? I was hoping for Oct not as hot. @Carold.....We asked what everyone would like best and the ones who responded agreed the last weekend in Sept would work for them. It was my understanding you had prior plans with Ese to go see Vivian in October, according to what you posted in "Let's Go Topicless" thread so we thought that time was out for you. But Ese told me that he and you were planning to go up to see Vivian and then he had hoped to bring you and Viv to our meet in Austin which had already been scheduled for Sept 26-28, so it didn't quite make sense to me. Maybe he got the dates confused. It was also my understanding that you and a few others are planning your own separate meet, so not knowing when that was going to be, most here liked the last weekend in September. Hope your meet goes well also! It's nice to get together with people we've come to have good friendships with.

I've also found these great little cottages which are more like motel rooms, some with kitchenettes, some without. One style of room can accommodate up to 4 people and the other style would accommodate 2 people comfortably. They are a stone's throw from Lake Travis in Lago Vista, just outside Austin. The Aloha Suites are simple but comfortable and very reasonably priced, so they look good to me also. We'll see how they work out to everyone's likes or dislikes...we're still open in choices though, so we're going to keep looking.

Sorry to have to say this but due to circumstances beyond my control I will be unable to see this through as I had hoped so if anyone wishes to continent with this thread and keep planning for the Texas meet you're most welcome to do so. If not it will just be allowed to fade into oblivion. I just wasn't expecting the emergencies which have surfaced recently in my life which need my full time and attention. Best wishes to all. Hope you can still get the meet together and that it is very successful.

It would be nice to have a meet up in lubbock texas and instead of carne to meet up why don't you call it a mixer that is one of bunch of people get together and a main goal and its so its called a mixer. I did something like this: in Denver Colorado and it was a succes.
