Pounding harder and harder each time

You kept coming back to me, my eyes
Holding you in thier spell
You saved my picture
To gaze deeply into my eyes when you pleased
Hoping yet fearful

Why you asked yourself over and over
Why would she want me
Thinking your self too old for me
I noticed you, each time you looked at me
Each time you saw my eyes

I looked at you,my heart pounded
My breath catching
I thought to my self..if only
If only he would want me
I looked again and again

Asking my self why over and over
Why would he want me
Thinking myself too big, too messed up for you
Wanting to reach out to you

Bravery over took me
I did something I never would do
I wrote to you
Said a simple hello that I had noticed you notice me
You answered back
Asked to be friends
My heart pounding
I wrote back saying yes
Exchanged emails
Exchanged Instant messenger

The next day we talk
Each of us shy and apprehensive
The question of age comes up
I tell you how I feel
I don't see age
It matters not to me
Wanting you to see hopefully
That I want you

Dance around the subject with words
Flirting in our own way
You become brave
Tell me you like me
I tell you I like you too
More than a friend
It blossoms from those words

Love meant to be
You and me
Fate answering our prayers
Bringing two pure hearts together
