Making a bet during the world cup soccer, my cousin bet on one team in the playoffs, my sister on the other. I bet 'its going to be a tie game' not knowing there cant be a tie . I ended up losing twice.

I have a really bad memory. Maybe it's just a real bad selective memory. lol
Honestly I say a lot things that are intentionally stupid. So trying to remember the accidentally stupid things I've said is going to be even harder. |

Will you marry me me.  
1998..my new gf come home with all this costume jewelry and she was so happy & proud of all the stuff she got as she came in the door showing me it all, so I enjoyed her happiness with her. I few minutes later she started in about my X gf cutting her down and she never even met her,also we were in two different countries. So I got sick of these unnecessary atacks and in her defence I said: "Well at least she wouldn't wear costume jewelry". 
I think thats got to be one of the stupidest things a man can say... Top 5 anyways. 
She shut up for a sec but she was boiling inside. She walks over to the garbage,throwing all the new stuff she just bought in the garbage and said "Your buying me real stuff tomorrow"! and thats what we did and she reiterated the argument on how she felt, and how I taught her a lesson laughing the whole way there.

One time when I was a kid I was chatting with this other boy called Gemel that was in my year at school. It turned out that our fathers worked with each other and that night when we were sitting round the dinner table I said to my dad that I had been talking to this kid at school whose dad worked with him and I told my dad that I had told that kid that he called his dad "Arse Gemel". He just about hit the roof.
