I've never been much of a flirt, but after my last relationship, I'm quickly learning the ropes, and I can enjoy it tremendously!
Like this afternoon, had to go to the garage with my car. Now the mechanic (also the owner) that usually maintains my car is really cute. Too young for a relationship, but there's this spark between us (not from the spark plugs) So whenever I gotta go to the garage, I get slightly excited, nervous, but also, well, in the mood for some flirting. (These days I make sure I look my best without over doing it when I have to go to the garage laugh )
Anyways, we're having a nice chat, both testing the water kinda thing while he's checking the engine.
Now last time I was there, his hand got caught and he ended up with a bruised nail. This afternoon, we're standing underneath my car, kind of a confined space, and suddenly he says: I think of you every day" and shows me his nail, still bruised. "I told you it would last till at least New Year, still not gone, so I think of you every day"
And there's me blushing like a friggin schoolgirl.
blushing
I'm already looking forward to my next visit. My car needs a new battery, real soon. bigsmile
Last time I was there, I mentioned something along the lines of "Not always handy to not have a bloke, as no one keeps an eye on the car anymore"
And his reply was I could ask him and in exchange for a warm meal, he would do it.
Now what the he(k do you make of that? I know he's single, I know he does his fair share of dating, I know he likes me. But still.
Is it just some fun, and that's it. Would he be interested in something more, a date? How the he(ck can you tell???
That's what I mean, flirting is great, but at the same time also confusing and nerve wrecking!

How the he(ck can you tell???

Pretty simple, next time your car needs attention, invite him to dinner....And wear something sexy:wink:

Yeah, I guess, just that I wasn't sure he actually meant that or was just goofing around :S
Gotta tap into my strength, but that always seems to miraculously disappear out the window when it's about a guy. Friggin' rejection sh**, but then again, time I get over it.

Yeah if offered your already there.....Don't leave the guy hanging thats mean. You don't pounce on him soon enough he'll start to wonder if your just a tease. Not that theres anything wrong with being a tease mind you. I'm a pretty flirty person when I see the right body language. Eye contact is a big one so is a persons openness like how they are carrying themselves. Smiles are also a natural indicator. Leigh is right about the ball being in your court. Watch to see if he gets a little fidgety when he sees you. Thats an indication of being shy and as nervous as you are. Good luck! Remember to give him a safe word and I hope he ate his Wheates.laugh

Or better yet take him for a test drive in your car so you get the lowdown on what he did to it and casually take him somewhere for lunch.

Personally, I don't usually see this sort of thing as a dilemma.

Last year I met this girl through a couple of aquaintences. Every time we all went out together she came along and although I wasn't sure if she was interested in me or not I was getting fed up with the situation and having to sit in the pub with all of them every time, so I just asked her if she wanted to go out with me without them. If she said no I was just putting an end to an awkward situation and if she said yes I would get a date with her.

People that worry about knockbacks are just insecure. I used to be like that when I was a teenager. Why would I feel stupid if some woman that flirted with me said no thanks when I called her bluff?

This is where a lot of people go wrong and end up whining about not being able to get dates. You flirt with someone and end up getting some dumb crush on them, without even knowing where you stand. I just tell women that I'm fine as long as I know where I stand with them.

I've got a lady friend coming round to visit me tonight actually and I know exactly where I stand with her. Sure, we flirt with each other but we also talk properly.

Here's how I talk to women:

Do you want to go out with me or not?"

Interesting approach Tawtstrat...
You offer a positive and a negative which leaves you with a 50% chance of success. If I may offer a suggestion, would be to offer 2 positives and let her choose one.

Example: I'd love to take you out, can I pick you up Tuesday or Thursday for a night out on the town? smokin

Crystal,
Be bold, Be serious(so there's no misinterpretations) and watch his reactions. Oil changes can be reciprocated yes? laugh pitchfork

Don't be scared of rejection. This will be your big moment , but also expect the worse.if so, you also know you can pick up and move on.

He's given out lots of signs and as everyone is saying, the ball is definitely in your court.

Can you see yourself with him? Sure, he's younger but obviously very attracted to you!

Obviously you are feeling something too, hence the nervousness!

Crystal, you are WOMAN! Get your behind over to the garage, call him over and hand him your address!
"How about Wednesday at 7 pm? Does that work for you?"
Then smile and get ready for "Hump Day"! teehee love

Sorry, was I too bold? noway
I can't wait to hear!!!! I'm sooo excited for you!!! flowerforyou
