a really good friend (and uber handsome to boot) of mine read a post from some cat who wanted advice about a back piece he wanted to get tattooed on his lower back. my "friend" posted a comment asking this cat if he was planning to bend over to the front and touch his toes so that the guy posted up behind him would have something to read. of course the wording on my "friends" post was more politically correct. a mod promptly sent a message of encouragement concerning reading and rereading a post before hitting the post reply button. i guarantee i guarantee he learned a lesson, so it's rare so see one of his posts edited

Not really embarrassed but when I have reread them I thought I didn't convey my thoughts properly.I would rather look foolish then be a too serious jerk and hurt someones feelings who was just trying to get a good conversation going.

I re- read my post after they have been posted and find typos. I notice I have issues with not holding down the shift button long enough for capital letters where needed. Or a mistakenly cram two words together.

I do this on facebook a lot, especially before I add a new person I have a purge of some of my nonsense. At the end of the day though you thought it was funny or made sense at one point so I wouldn't fret, unless you were drunk, then maybe fret a little ;)
