Topic: Dress Code for Dateing

Oh, I'm afraid to touch on this sacred subject, lol.

Still, I like casual first dates like easy strolls, or small games of whatever that allow for conversation and introductions (I actually kind of like it if all my dates accomplish that). So dress code for the first date- casual. Specifically clothing-wear that is flattering but leaves a good deal to the imagination. Tastefully attractive clothes, there we go. Tastes differ I suppose, but I always prefer some level of decency.

well I guess the mrs santa mini skirt with fur bra top and booties are out??sad

I dress up 80's style. Parachute pants, a Choose Life t-shirt and some old style Reebok's.

It would depend on where we're going, but I'd most likely wear a dress.

And wearing the one glove...ala Michael Jackson.

I really am surprised so many preferences for "comfortable" clothes but I don't know if that is necessarily a bad thing.

Getting older, creaky knees, I am not that hot for wearing heels but a lot of times I have felt it obligatory. Tough when I am taller than the majority of people in my neighborhood.

Would be nice if I could find a dress or a skirt that wasn't all the way up top my tahtah's or down to a foot below my knees. lol Guess I will go back to sewing to have any decent date clothes.

It depends on the date. If we are going horseback riding I would wear my equestrian gear. If we are going to dinner id dress based on the location, for coffee the casual. I never wear something I dont wear normally. I NEVER dress for a guy. If my style doesnt jive with a dude he can kiss the horse poo on my riding boot. I dress for myself. If he likes it great. I obviously wont lose sleep if he doesnt.

I thought this was kind of a no brainer at least for a guy. You know be clean and well groomed. I've always dressed in a way that suits the occasion and to make sure I look like someone that another wouldn't be embarrassed to be seen out with. Just being presentable is all I've ever had expected of me.

What I expect out of my date. Pretty much the same thing. But depending on circumstances I would hope she would dress for the occasion as well. I also hope she would wear something comfortable. I dress for comfort first so I wouldn't expect her to wear something overly complicated or uncomfortable on my account. Besides that could totally kill a date.

So if we are going for comfort you would not expect a dress or heels?

I wouldn't like a guy that expects me to wear specific things. I don't specify what he should wear either. In a way it's quite sexist that a woman should wear a dress and heels.
I don't often wear heels as I'm quite tall. A guy would have to be 6 ft are taller for me to be able to get away with it.
do dress up for dates, but not heels (unless the occasion calls for it).

Dress Code! I tried Google translate to know what it means in English and reply came "Dress Code". OMG, what is this supposed to mean?

I prefer casual wear myself but with the showed effort that they tried to dress up and not just roll out of bed. :) First dates are all about impressions after all!

It means what do you expect them to wear on a date. How do you want them to dress. Is jeans okay or a suit? Or a dress or t-shirt and pants...etc...

it all hinges on the event! what you are doing and where you are going ... to show up in heels and apple bottoms for a trail hike would spoil the good time...conversely if a guy showed up in a business suit for that, I'd be like....ummmm....first and LAST date
