I start at 1230 today but will be leaving at 10 am. While others can call and say they're not coming in. If I try I'll get in trouble.

I seem to be in one of my "designing" phases again.. must be outta 'mind' boredom anywho.. last night I put the finishing touches on the design of a wall shelf for some DVD's.. 16' long and 7.5'high..

it's all sketched out (several different ways) and I've calculated every bracket, piece of lumber and screw it'll need.. plus also chose the stain color I'll be using (out of those I already have in stock ).. today I do the pricing math.. keeps me busy (and outta trouble) while I wait for warmer weather to paint the master bedroom..

speaking of warmer weather.. this spring I HAVE to rebuild part of a retaining wall on one side of my property.. because of the flooding we had back in 2011 in the area.. it washed much of the earth surrounding the house towards the wall and after a very wet fall of 2013, pushed it over.. so now I have to rebuild that 60' section.. I'm at an impasse though.. I'm not sure WHICH way to go.. mind you, I've not done any pricing on THAT yet but.. I'd appreciate any ideas any of you may have as to which way to go.. previously (since the house was built in '65) there was railroad ties, stacked one above the other, running the full length and held in by solid (vertical) steel poles of about 3" across.. my question is.. should go the same route? (it DID last about 50 years but that was with the quality of goods back then.. ) OR.. should I try another route?? I'm figuring that any way I do it.. I'm gonna have to fork out serious cash.. ugh..

anywho.. been continuing my clean up too.. so's I's gonna head back into the basement for some more triage..

I FINALLY got more work.. not a LOT mind you.. but enough to distract me for a wee bit.. plus I've been doing more clean up.. HOLY HANNA but a body can accumulate quite a bit of crap over a lifetime whoa but.. I'm making headway hopefully by spring I'll be DONE.. however a lot of it belongs to the kids as well.. *sighs* anywho.. onward ho!!
