By 2000, I had long since given up on WCW. I think it was a combination of horrible writing and NWOverkill. The NWO could have been a sucessful 18 month-2 year gimmick. But as usual,WCW rode the horse to death, beat it, brought it back to life, killed it again, and beat it some more. Funny, but WWE and TNA seem to be in a race to see who can copy WCW most. Oh, well, at least there's ROH.

NEXT QUESTION:

Name the THREE men who, at one time or another, managed the Mongolian Stomper in Southeastern Championship Wrestling(tho not at the same time).

For extra credit, name at least two other managers, other than the three listed above, that managed the Stomper in other areas.

OK, here goes. I figured you'd get this, Sportsnut, because you're from the area.

The Mongolian Stomper's three managers he had in Southeastern Championship Wrestling were:

Don Carson
Gorgeous George,Jr(no relation to the original)
Ron Wright

Others who have managed the Stomper elsewhere include:

J.J. Dillon(Texas)
"Playboy" Gary Hart(Florida)
J.R. Foley(no relation to Mick, managed him in Canada)

Name the third member of the Rock and Roll Express for about a two year run. Related in storyline to one of the original two.

I can think of four wrestlers who's played Rock 'n' Roll Express members:

1:Tommy Rich, who in the late 80s filled in for Robert Gibson when Gibson was injured.

2:Todd Morton, who was no relation to Ricky, but used the name because of a close resemblance to Ricky. teamed with Ricky on the indy scene when Robert retired for the first time.

3:David "Kid" Kash: Another guy who adopted the Morton surname for a while, was billed as a protege of Ricky, they teamed for a bit in the dying days of ECW(the original), and in Southern independents.

4:Ricky Gibson: Real life brother of Robert, he went by the name "Ricky Lee Jones" in Crockett's NWA during the height of the R 'n' R era in the mid-80s. He teamed with the Express for some 6 man tags against the Russians, Midnight Express, and the Horsemen.

Great question!drinker

Very good. I was looking for Todd Morton otherwise known as Micheal Todd Stratton in the indy scene. I worked with him for a couple years and he gave me some iggy's into the business. He used to be a trainer at the power plant. Kiw Low was his protege. Told me he patterned his style after Benoit b/c he is so small probably 5 foot 5. You know your stuff.

CBD, I grew up in the 70s. Here in the Southeast in the seventies, we only watched two things--Football and Wrestling. The Sport of Kings they called it then. I don't really care for WWE or WWE Lite(TNA). I do love to read anything I can get my hands on concerning wrestling history. Can't wait to read the new Bruiser Brody bio. Have you ever read the Wrestling Observer? Amazing newsletter.

Well, here's a softball question:

When Robert Fuller(Col.Rob Parker in WCW) went to WWF in the late 90s to manage Jeff Jarrett and Southern Justice(the former Godwinns), what name did Fuller go by?

Tennessee Lee, manager of Jeff Jarrett

Dirty White Boy Tony Anthony ( Uncle Cletus Godwinn) as their manager was the manager of Southern Justice .

in college i worked out at the same gym as hillbilly jim in bowling green kentucky. nice guy and he is actually a monster. he works as a wwe agent, plays great guitar at the clubs and has a radio show on sirius. Still looks as if he could compete.

"Uncle Cletus" Tony Anthony managed The Godwinns, but wasn't around when they adapted the "Southern Justice" gimmick . Lee managed them. In one episode of Raw, Lee got into it with Jarrett and ordered Justice to beat up Jarrett. Justice instead turned on Lee, beating him up, creating a "write-out" of the script for Lee. Jarrett became the "advisor" for Justice.

Does anyone know why Robert Fuller (as Tennessee Lee) didn't last long in WWE? When he was there, he was considered one of the five best promo men there, and has to be on a list of the all-time great promos.

Somebody said that Ray Traylor appeared for "Tennessee Mountain Wrestling" a very small indy promotion that runs at the local Armory here. Of course, that promotion has a nasty habit of constantly advertising talent that they know won't be there. It's things like that that ruin it for the good groups out there.

Oh, and CBD, you asked earlier about the "Hands of Stone". That was Ronnie Garvin, and thank God I got to see him at his best in Southeastern Championship Wrestling years before Crockett and the WWF watered his character down.
