I know it was off topic, but it was funny Crystal. My brother is still here so thats me up, cos if you fall asleep in his company he'd shave your eyebrows off. I did it to him 17 years ago and he still wants to get me back! bigsmile bigsmile

That's okay, we can't tell, lol. I can understand he wants his revenge! No eyebrows looks plain silly
Had this co-worker once who for some reason plucked the whole lot and than drew a line with eyebrow pencil. Looked totally weird, kind of ruins facial expressions.
If he does manage to shave yours, we'd like a picture of it

Isn't that what you'd call 'tough love' tongue2
Anyways, have fun, look after your eyebrowzzz! I'm off, about to fall out of my chair. (we're an hour ahead of you, so close to half 2)

I do agree with you. It does get a bit uncomfortable and there are many different circumstances and education does play a huge part in the ordeal. I was speaking more towards the individuals that claim to be american but cannot build a legible sentence to save their lives... I don't know about you guys.... But if the damn sentence is too hard to read/understand... sh*ts getting deleted-lol

    PMSL

Ummmmm.... what's PMSL??!slaphead lol IDK!flowerforyou

I'm not going to assume anything, they could be scammers, possibly not noticed the Grammar or not good speaking English well probably common one cause a huge percentage people here live in countries language English is not native language, since I'm from America i don't know that last one for sure so it's just a guess (my English is not well either)

[/quotyes many of us here are not english-native speakers, but if you look at the ones who pretend either to be mative speakers, or to be living in US/UK and are in faxct not really living there, it tells you, at least to women , how bad we feel when 9 messages out of 10 or worse are from non real profiles!

Crystal, you will find if it is broken English as in , sentences are displaced, bad grammar, and if they are a widow and start the smooth talk immediately, then it is a scammer.
They are so sweet with the talk and have a great script in front of them, it's very believable, till about 2 weeks in and they ask for money for one thing or another.
Little black boys in Africa being told what to do by the bosses.
Be really careful

You seem well informed in the subject, is that from experience with dealing with non real profiles?

It's now clear, yes they do have script, even a few ones, and if they follow it right it's even in a very good English with not the least grammar error... As long as they talk the talk / follow the script
It's not rare that they treat you bad names if you show you discover them, quite unpleasant.
I almost wanted to ask one, what do you get in the end, how does this system work, to have a sociological view on this... As if anyone would dare answering this kind of question...?!

As for poor English; it is either its the person's second language, the person has had poor education/or dropped out of school way too soon, way to lazy to type so they use text language, or they are scammers. Personally; I just delete these messages and don't bother to reply.

I think that is the best policy

English language is a common language.....its not everyone's first language though.....So if native speakers couldn't use words rightly,,,its no crime coz its not their first languages :) its mainly for communication....if one could make out what one was about sayin' inspite of wrong words usages,,,whats the point takin' it to the extremes......personally,,am not very good at Engish language,,but it does not stop me from communicating to people from different parts of the world......

Somebody using wrong english or wrong spelling does not mean is a scammer, but rather that is the way he can expressed himself, or may be he do not speak english language as the official language in their country, ok.

I think the topic is not about not talking perfect english if you're a non native but having a poor english language if you're native english speaker, OR pretending you're a native, like a US born and bred citizen, and having a really not good English, the latter group being suspect of being scammers, otherwise why pretend you're american.... noway  frustrated
