I am 1.75 meters or 5'9. It has its advantages and disadvantages especially for women. As you say, it's difficult to find clothes that fit. My problem is finding women's shoes that fit my feet. I take an 11 W.
One of the advantages that I'm grateful for is that when I'm out walking alone after dark, nobody bothers me. I have never been mugged or attacked. My height can be intimidating, but it also helps to have "the look" as my daughter calls it.

In my supermarket I sometimes buy wine. Most cashiers know me, or don't care about my age. Some say, "are you old enough to buy this?" I always respond "I am way too old".

Tall people are cursed. They will never enjoy the simple pleasure of driving a cute fast sportscar.

I think advantages and disadvantages to both. I'm 5' 10 and I love being tall except when it's time to buy jeans or scrubs. Companies make pants to fit us talls but they don't adjust the waist so mine are always baggy from the thighs up. and I've found that along with being tall you have longer feet. I was always self conscious about wearing a size 9 shoe.

Are you talking about the dating field? I think it depends on whom you're referring to. My experience has been that shorter men are less successful and on occasion, very short or very tall women are less successful.

I often wondered why he did not follow it up with one about tall people, many of his songs were written for films

I hate going places with my tall friends. It's like when we go shopping they are walking what they say is normal. And I'm like wait for me I gots lil legs!

For me it's the other way round: I don't like going out with short people because I have to constantly look down and stretch my neck that way when talking, and after some 15 minutes it triggers my tinnitus, vertigo etc. Meaning after 15 mins I have to leave and go home.
And I ain't even all that tall, 1.78m, but people in this area tend to be shortcakes (1.55m ish).

Just goes to show that height does matter even though many think or say it doesn't. Height difference impacts socialising and practical life.
