I am 1.75 meters or 5'9. It has its advantages and disadvantages especially for women. As you say, it's difficult to find clothes that fit. My problem is finding women's shoes that fit my feet. I take an 11 W. One of the advantages that I'm grateful for is that when I'm out walking alone after dark, nobody bothers me. I have never been mugged or attacked. My height can be intimidating, but it also helps to have "the look" as my daughter calls it.
