1 Million Truckers to Protest Obama by Shutting America Down for 3 Days in October If they do this you might want to stock up on everything you'll need for a while! Does anyone remember when they went on strike last time what a fiasco it was? Prices will soar is the bad part, but it will send a message for sure! there was going to be mayhem after the Zimmerman verdict,,,, there was going to be mayhem when the muslims and the bikers (a million allegedly then too..) went out now there will be mayhem if a million truckers go on strike,,, ,,perhaps rabble-rousers will finally get their wish or perhaps it will be another not so enormous or eventful turnout,,, |

Sure. Maybe if those "One Million Truckers" get together with the "Two Million Bikers" and "One Million Moms", and just for giggles, throw in the people from the "Million Muslim March", and get them all driving a truck and subsequently block a road with the same, then yes, you'd have a real mess on a national scale. Fortunately, that isn't happening. While Conservatives' protests are duly recorded, it's not going to change anything. You think 10,000 people on Facebook "liking" a page that doesn't agree with President Obama is reason enough for a professional truck driver to put his job on the line, much less thousands of them?
What color is the sky in your world? Also, just what is the point of the Truckers' protest? They want Obama out of office? They want to block US roadways in order to let all 330 million Americans know that they're so much more angry, now that Obama is in office.

I said "IF" it happens. Regardless whether a million, a few hundred, or a few thousand should participate, a trucker strike is not a laughing matter. The unions may not even condone this, but despite the unions, if the truckers take this on themselves, it would definitely carry a message even they couldn't ignore. Without truckers, nothing moves.... it just sits at rail yards, shipyards, warehouses..... nothing gets to market!! |

I can see OTR truckers going on strike in protest over something that threatens their jobs. I don't see them going on strike in order to support someone who has Obama Derangement Syndrome.
