Okay... 9/11 not only is it a day that made History. But it is a day that most of us will never forget. It was a day of sorrow, heartache & reality for many.

There is not a person that was old enough to remember that does not. Some only remember the news the awe and shock factor we felt that day... Some will never forget what happen that day, or what they were doing at the time it was announced.

So tell us your thoughts what were you doing the moment you heard that the Twin Towers had been hit then to realize not one but two planes. And both Towers then a third that Heroes took over and protected whom that plane had been planned for?

I was working driving taxi at that time. I felt sorry for all those in the towers, like I did when OKC happened. I was hoping there weren't too many children involved and that we did not end up in a war.

To be perfectly honest I was at home sick and didn't go to school, watching tv, and then BAM, "what is this stuff interrupting my programming?!!!"

6 Hours later

"Why is this pre-empting everyyyythiiiiing?!"

Mind you, I'm not a U.S citizen so I didn't quite see the big hoopla going on over it. But when I went to school everyone was crying and stuff and I was all "I don't understand..."

But then again, you are talking to the guy who doesn't assign any value to people he doesn't meet/know/see.

Tragedy? Absolutely, I wish the families of victims well.
Bit I find it hard to be empathetic to, essentially, numbers.

I got a call from a friend who said "turn on the news". The first tower had just been hit. As I watched, the second tower was hit a bit later. I had knowledge of how the building was built and estimated that it would fall in about thirty minutes. I was close.

It was a world changing moment.

I was getting coffee at Skinny's convenience store before a day of yard work with my friend Jerry.

The cashier was glued to the Tv and said..."Today we are going to war boys".

When I got home 12 hours later...I saw the footage of the planes being driven into the two towers.

I knew she was right...we were going to war.

I just wish we did it like the Israelis do....kill every last member of every suspects families ...and avoid troops.

It sucked.

It blows to say that to this day....involved or not...I believe that since moslems declared jihad on what I value and love.....every last one of them should be exterminated .

Any moslem who is offended should have gone and cut those bastards throats as well as anyone who believes in Quaranic hatred.

I stand by those we lost and their loved ones who remain....

Those a -holes want jihad.....give them jihad.

Kill them all.

I was driving to work on CR917 just before the Texaco when the news came over the radio....

I literally pulled over thinking I did not just hear the Twin Tower had been hit by a plane then to realize not one but both had been hit...

After getting my thoughts together I drove to work. Once there the tv came on and I listened to it over and over.

Then hearing later that the third plane did not make it's mark due to the passengers banned together and stopped them. I remember the phone calls to loved one they aired from the plane. That is one day I will never forget.....

it is weird how that is the only day i can remember what i was doing with clarity...

got to work, and spent the next two hours watching it on TV... a month later, the US changed into a police state, and has been ever since....

I just got home from work and my sister called me and told me to turn the TV on. The next few hours just watched TV and mourned.

It is wild how many dates and times seem to elude our memories but then some every little detail sticks......

I had the news on in the living room while I was washing dishes in the kitchen.. a friend popped by for coffee and we were going to sit for a chat and morning beverage when he shouted OH MY GAWD and I looked up over the island to see the smoke rising from one of the towers on the news..

we never did enjoy coffee that morning as we both sat, mouths agape, staring at what was unfolding just a couple of hundred miles south of where we were.. positively mind blowing..

I was living in the Bahamas at the time!
Was sleeping in that Morning, but my TV was on,and I awoke to those dreadful Scenes!
Thought I was in some Twilight-Zone until the truth sunk in!
Won't forget those scenes as long as I live!
sad

On 9/11/01, I was at work, and I still remember a co-worker walking in and telling us to turn the TV on...to see the smoke rising from one of the towers on the news, we spent the rest of the day watching the unfolding of the events that day.
