Ok, mine are:
Current: '11:22:63' By Stephen King. First King book ive read in a long time. Its about a guy that goes back in time to 1958 to try and stop the Kennedy assasination. Actualy realy enjoying it and cant put it down! Genre: Sorry, but I need to be greedy here and take two - Fantasy first of all. Anyone ever heard of David Gemmell? If you think Tolkien was the king of fantasy, think again! The other is warfare, or specificaly the history of war. Just finished reading Eugene Sledge's With The Old Breed, superb account of war in the Pacific. Favourite books: The Swords Of Night and Day, by David Gemmell Helmet For My Pillow, Robert Leckie |

I have just finished 11/22/63 - superb book. Bit of a sad ending but i suspected thats what would happen. Honestly, if you like Lord Of The Rings, you should order some David Gemmill books. There are whole ranges, but they are superb reads. Anyone ive ever told them about ends up buying all his work! |

OK, fantasy fans. Has anyone ever read anything by Steven Brust? I love his Vlad series (top-selling over the last 30 years), but I love his non-series books even more. And there's a new one coming out this month called "The Incrementalists." I got a sneak peak and reading, and it's great! There's a preview excerpt posted on www.tor.com.
Favorite genre: obviously Fantasy, but also some mysteries, historical romance, nonfiction sometimes. Most recent favorite read: Davita's Harp, by Chaim Potok. If you like history and fantasy, have you read any of Harry Turtledove's alternate histories? I like the civil war ones the best, but maybe that's because I know more about the civil war than the others. |

My favorite novel is John Dies at the End by David Wong. It's the only book I've ever read that was equally as scary as it was funny. The horror made the humor that much more hilarious, and the humor made the horror that much more terrifying. There was recently a movie adaptation, but I don't recommend it. They tried making it all comedy and it just fell flat.
My favorite genre is horror. Behind JDATE, some other favorites would be The Hungry Moon by Ramsey Campbell, The Outsider by H.P. Lovecraft, and Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. I've always been interested in dark material. And lastly, I'm currently reading Next by Michael Crichton. There are a few too many characters, but it's an entertaining read. I'm 178 pages in so far. |

I write them more than I read them. And all of my story's always end up with the guy and the girl sleeping together. A bad habit. I gotta stop that.

I'm currently keeping several stories alive in my head because I like to read a lot of books at the same time. I'm almost done with the Eragon series,I'm in the middle of the Triskellion series, the Dragon King saga, the 21 balloons, the Chrestomancy series, the Redwall series, and maybe a few more I can't remember. I like fantasy and sci-fantasy.

The Hotel New Hampshire - John Irving The Drawing Of The Three - Stephen King Lord Of The Rings - Tolkien Irving fan here as well. THNH is good, though I prefer World According to Garp. Cider House Rules as well. No real favourite genre, but sci-fi, fantasy are likes. Also enjoy carefully crafted storyies, Tom Clancy's in particular. An obscure book, called Frozen Star, about the early days of radio astronomy and the search for black holes, is still a favourite of mine. |
