Hi Mingle

Been gone a couple of days and when I came back was seeing a couple of things that made me ask if there was some talk about mingle's "PG" rating. I know that ratings can be a drag for some but don't you think that being creatively suggestive can be just as fun?

Personally I like the "PG" thing. "R" to me seems like something that is kept a little "not so public" and "X" very private. I also like when you guys push the limits in creative ways, but why would you get angry if the rules set limits. Their not asking you not to be an adult "not all adults have their minds in the gutter" their asking you not to be vulgar. Being vulgar BTW doesn't make you more adult and Mingle didn't write the meaning of vulgar, here's what the dictionary says it is.

1.crude or indecent: crude or obscene, particularly with regard to sex or bodily functions
2.tasteless or ostentatious: showing a lack of taste or reasonable moderation
3.lacking refinement: lacking in courtesy and manners

Some of the funniest people who have ever been on mingle have been in the "adult section" of mingle when it was here, and they knew (in my opinion) how to be naughty and nice. They kept it right on the edge and to be honest for people like me made it funny as H*** (I said heck there BTW lol).

As adults there's a way to find a blend and welcomes all types. Mingle has done a very good job of this I feel.

I agree that there needs to be a "Limit"

I have been here pretty regularly lately and am not aware of any such public discussion on the forums. perhaps a mod will respond.

I see no harm in getting a little R-rated occasionally afterall members are supposed to be over 18

I think I can hang with that. I think I'm cursing when I say H E double hockey sticks.

If the Mingle mods were less than the adults I know them to be maybe there would be reason to question or push back, but they are us (a selected group of minglers). People who give a lot of themselves to make this a sight that works.

I can't imagine how many scars they must have on theirs tongues on our account.

This is an adult site...just not an "adult" site. The powers that be decided they don't want certain images on the site. People before have taken advantage, which is why we enforce they rules set.

I, personally, don't want to see certain things. If I wanted to see them, I would go to an "adult" site.

It's a happy medium. Some people are more reserved than others. Others don't care or like that kind of stuff. It's a middle ground

Hey guys,

I wanted to take a little time, and explain this.

First, we do not want you to feel as if you aren't adults. If you weren't, then you wouldn't be here.

The site has certain guidelines, and those guidelines have to be followed, or we lose funding from advertisements.

Please be aware, it takes a lot of money to run a site this size.

You have no idea of the costs involved.

We have admins, public relations people, technicians, programmers, and then the costs of power, new servers (and yes, new servers are in place and the site may change a bit)

Those people do not work for free, and i can assure you, Vanchau is not about to pay the cost of this site from his pocket.

OK to all of this as really it is a matter of wanting to be a member. I just really don;t know the diff between "a little R rated once in awhile to PG-13)

So far no one has said that ant of my posts are pictures are too offensive or r rated so I am going with that

Personally I don't want to see pictures of somebodies $%^&, or their ^&*(^%$, or even their $%^&%$#())(s, when I log on. And I certainly don't want to read about someones )(%^&*, or how they )(*&&%$ their )(*$%^ last night.
