(please vote below if you chose not to read this) as follows: "personally I dont want to see pictures of somebodys peter or thier cookie or even their pectoral region when I log in, and I certainly don't want to here about someones Peter or how he parked his car in his ladys garage or Peter was eating cookies. ok, it wasn't triple xxx. |

According to the Motion Picture Association of America, the definition of PG-13
PG-13 — Parents Strongly Cautioned. Some Material May Be Inappropriate For Children Under 13. A PG-13 rating is a sterner warning by the Rating Board to parents to determine whether their children under age 13 should view the motion picture, as some material might not be suited for them. A PG-13 motion picture may go beyond the PG rating in theme, violence, nudity, sensuality, language, adult activities or other elements, but does not reach the restricted R category. The theme of the motion picture by itself will not result in a rating greater than PG-13, although depictions of activities related to a mature theme may result in a restricted rating for the motion picture. Any drug use will initially require at least a PG-13 rating. More than brief nudity will require at least a PG-13 rating, but such nudity in a PG-13 rated motion picture generally will not be sexually oriented. There may be depictions of violence in a PG-13 movie, but generally not both realistic and extreme or persistent violence. A motion picture’s single use of one of the harsher sexually-derived words, though only as an expletive, initially requires at least a PG-13 rating. More than one such expletive requires an R rating, as must even one of those words used in a sexual context. The Rating Board nevertheless may rate such a motion picture PG-13 if, based on a special vote by a two-thirds majority, the Raters feel that most American parents would believe that a PG-13 rating is appropriate because of the context or manner in which the words are used or because the use of those words in the motion picture is inconspicuous. Just my 2 cents, but the Mods & Admins will always have final say and we as users must respect that authority. |

You can't compare the Mingle rating's system with the MPAA's. I stopped trying long ago.

some things are blatant. Others are in a gray area and mods have to use our best judgement. Regardless of popular belief...we are human.
All I can say is, if you are unsure if it crosses the line, either email a mod or don't post it. |

This is an adult site...just not an "adult" site. The powers that be decided they don't want certain images on the site. People before have taken advantage, which is why we enforce they rules set. I, personally, don't want to see certain things. If I wanted to see them, I would go to an "adult" site. *edit to add* It's a happy medium. Some people are more reserved than others. Others don't care or like that kind of stuff. It's a middle ground Ditto. Mainly because my idea of erotic, sexy, etc are not necessarily other's idea of the same. I'll search the web for my own porn preferences, thank you very much. |

It's very boring here now compared to how it was back in the day.
Such a shame because it was at one time a very interesting and fun and hopping site. I do think that many of the most interesting personalities here left in part because of the elimination of the R-rated forums and discussions/joking and play that "arose" from these sections. Degraded the commercial value of the site greatly due to diminished activity and because the social interactions were neutered. Oh well. A few people like porridge at least. But there are a lot less eyeballs and there are very few people in many demographics and it often gets like watching grass grow. FWIW It is perhaps a "business opportunity". |

We still do a good bit of joking. and I don;t see nearly as many incidents of "drama" which is probably not a bad thing I don't notice that much change really as I don;t really miss anyone whose no longer here except maybe Romeo and Ramone and they mainly posted music anyway jmho |

I was not here when they had the "sex and intimacy forum"
Just curious tho, did it become a playground for pervs & were there many complaints if so? |

I realize that it was a business decision to be able to attract
certain advertising which is sensitive to R-rated content. And there is a market for O'Douls. But there is a slightly larger market (and arguably much more interesting market) for real adult beverages. O'Douls gets boring quickly. |

I was not here when they had the "sex and intimacy forum" Just curious tho, did it become a playground for pervs & were there many complaints if so? I used to participate in those forums and it was in good clean dirty fun. Lots of interesting discussions about toys, positions, habits, tastes and R-rated not X. There were pervs before the switch and there are pervs now after but it was never a big problem as far as the social aspects of the site were concerned. No one had to go there or post comments there. It was just kind of fun and interesting. |

I think it would be interesting to see how many members would prefer an area like that as opposed to not if a poll were taken.

I do think some of the "pervs" ruined it for the rest of us in the S&I section, 2 of the ladies(who sadly are no longer around here) told me they stopped posting in there because they kept attracting guys who couldn't tell they weren't being serious in there.
