Hi there,

I am 42 and seeing a guy who is about to turn 36. How many years of age difference does it take to be cougaring? He is more mature than many men 20 years older than him.

more mature, we are ALWAYS cougaring :-)

I dunno that we are ALWAYS more mature. LOL. Yes, I worked pretty high up positions at my job but I never had kids so I missed that whole protect a life more than your own thing. I only taught crafts summer camp and babysat and I knew the cavalry would be there soon to take over.

The guy I am currently seeing was forced to man up when he had a kid in his 20s.

I think 36 and 42 are an ok age to start a relationship, but 18 and 24....no. Maturity on both parts is a factor imo.

I generally envision a woman dating someone that is still young enough to have been their kid

I think you are not quite in that category,,,,lol

I dated a 43 year old when I was 28. I really loved here. She was my first real love as an adult. She didn't come with any games and we both werw what the other one needed...or so I thought. We broke up a few months ago. Still getting over it.

The truth is age is just a number and shld never be the sole base of Considering a partner. Once there is maturity, sense of responsibility love and understanding a relationship is considered HEALTHY irrespective of the age difference. I personally enjoy affair with older women than the youngies.

as far as I'm concerned.. I don't see anything "cougar-like" in dating younger men.. love/chemistry doesn't have any "age" requirements.. however I personally draw the line at guys my KIDS age(or younger) for me typically.. 15 yrs difference MAX is comfortable..

different people naturally age differently.. some 30 year olds I know have an older soul and better grasp at life at times then some men MY age.. so AGE isn't really a factor.. it's how YOU feel as a couple that counts..

Your good. Not much of a difference in age.
