I believe that you can always find something to love and there is always hope.

And that you should do what makes you happy.

On topic though, my happiness is several shades darker than your happiness. It isn't that I'm not happy, it is just that my gauge is vastly different.

No wonder I'm depressed. I need someone to love.

There are so many sad things that happen in the world, just watching or reading the daily news shows this. I think empathy can bring a little sadness. But there's just as many happy things happening too. I'm usually a happy person as I've been lucky/blessed in life. But certain things, like a death of a friend or family member or hearing about a tragedy to someone else, does sadden me. But afterward, I find something to make me happy again

I am pretty much always happy! That is just me!

I was talking to a lady the other day on another site. We have been talking for several weeks now. I told her right from the start that I wasn't interested in dating right now, and I explained why. She was OK with it. Being friends was fine. We messaged everyday. One day we were talking about "being" with someone.

Well, Since we were just friends, I never intended on meeting her. I told her a truth about me. I told her that I was happy within myself. That their is a part of me that if I did meet someone one day I was open to it. But, At the same time,If it never happened I was OK with it. She said, "How could I be OK with it?" I told her that I didn't have to have a woman to complete my life. I told her I could go through the rest of my life,pretty much do what I want to do and when it comes time for me to go,die happy. I've been married once. I've got two boys out of that marriage that I love dearly. So, I've got my boys and a family that loves me. The way I look at it, I got it all.

Even though she has her family she still considered herself as alone. She told me that even though they all lived together in the same house,she was still alone and she didn't do alone very well. She wasn't "happy".

It's been several days now. She hasn't spoken to me since. I think I must have blown her mind or something. All I know,I know this is true. No one will be happy with you if you're not happy within yourself.

I don't think a lot of people think about it like this but,
"If you can't stand to be alone with you,How can you expect anyone else to stand to be alone with you?" "If you can't be happy with you alone,how do you expect anyone else to be happy with you?" It's something to think about.
