The reason Collins was "praised" was not because he was gay, but because he had the courage to come out of the closet.
Flaunting your Christianity in a Christian dominated environment does not take courage. Tebow had a huge Christian fan following and a few loud critics. His critics probably thought he was wrong for flaunting his religion. I saw nothing at all wrong with it. If he had been Muslim and had stopped to pray two or three times during the game, he would have probably been lynched. |
