I personally don't care if homosexuals can marry or whatever. It has no impact on my life whatsoever. If the law allows marriage then so be it.

My issue is that for the last 100 plus years there has been an assault on morality.

Morality is what separates us from the rest of the animal kingdom.

A hungry lion cares not what the race, color or sexual orientation of its next meal is. All it knows is that it is hungry and the next animal walking or running in front of them is whats for dinner.

As the human species has evolved, morality has become a thing of ridicule.

During the 1920's and 30's the concept of the power of the state began to trump the influence of moral living.

Abortion clinics set up in impoverished neighborhoods. Court ordered sterilization. Eugenics and the movement to rid the US and eventually the rest of the world of the undesirable classes was the cause de celebre.

Progressive elite from around the western world pushed for these practices to be implemented not for its moral value, but its humanitarian value.

They argued it was better for all of humanity that black babies be aborted or that slavic women be sterilized.

Of course this all culminated with the eugenicists utopia of the Holocaust.

State sponsored work and death camps that got what they could out of the undesirable classes before killing them off.

Side by side with what the National SOCIALIST German Workers Party was doing the Stalinist Communist regime was taking it a step further. Starving 10 million Ukrainians to death, establishing gulags that worked another tens of millions to death. This was done simply for the state. With religion banned there was no concern for its morality interfering.

China.. Cambodia.. North Korea.. on and on..

Whether or not you believe organized religion is good or bad, the recent evidence suggests that when morality is undermined and it becomes attacked you can expect to be the lions next meal..

Morality seems to be the issue here, from what i'm guessing it's not morally ok to be with the same sex but it is morally ok to be in a fake relationship with someone of the opposite gender, lead a "straight" life all the while lying to your spouse about you gender preference, using her in order to hide the fact that you are gay, pretending to all your friends that you are straight, and in general being a huge hypocrite about freedom simply to make sure that the people who do not approve of homosexuality, will not know that you are...

(you in a general term not in a targeting a person term)

somehow i think that the scenario I just described is alot more morally wrong....I hate lying, I hate hiding things and I hate secrets...things that destroyed my relationship with both guys and girls (yes i dated girls in and effort to hide the fact that I like men). As it stands people like christians and anti-homosexuality people are why I refuse to date and would never EVER have thought about having kids, even though one of my previous girlfriends wanted kids...not gonna happen.

deception is not good

people are complex and rarely any one thing

preferences evolve and develop and are not mandates or definitions of who we are or what we are or who or what we will become by the end of our journey
