If you were immortal what would you do with your life? If you knew you had thousands of years to live.... what would you do? I would learn to play musical instruments, and paint like a master for start. Make sure I had a good pension. Although they would probably have me working for ever. |

Working forever might not be bad if you enjoy your work. |

Well having 1000 years to live would be a pretty lonely life, having everyone you know die 8 or 9 times over, probably more if you only socialize in your age group (Assuming you age slower than everyone and don't just become unable to function after the first 100 years) So I would probably spend it doing something that has a one way impact on peoples lives, something that would give me the opportunity to positively affect everyone without having to build a relationship with them first. I would give a more specific answer but with 1000 years to spare I'd imagine my life wouldn't be very specific.

I'd probably spend most of my time dodging freaky scientists... well I spent a couple of decades doing that already.....then my son became one (his math problems look like hierogylphics)....so I might go back to school and join them plus learn to play a musical instrument AND live somewhere more interesting than O-H-I-O |

I think being immortal might be about the worst thing that could happen to someone. Even if you also were in the prime of health forever. Even if everyone else was immortal too, so you wouldn't lose your friends. You'd all get stodgy and grouchy together. Forever is a looooooooooong time and who knows how long our brains could hold out. Plus we'd have to do something drastic about the birth rate. Not to mention that some day the sun will burn out. Do you really want to be around for that?

I can think of one advantage to being immortal. I could win that bet over the return of Jesus.

I'd play a lot of pranks on people. I'd be quite an annoying ghost. Plus, spy on all my favourite celebrities, to find out if they REALLY are who people see them as.

You'd not be very useful anymore. False teeth, needing a zimmer frame to walk, digestion problems (don't even ask about the bowel), pill popping, amnesia. Oh, joy.
