I'm just going to assume....that you love your "loved ones", your community, and every choice you've ever made,......because it made you "the person you are today".

but if you weren't "You."

What "other" Lifestyle would appeal to you?

love josie's response!

If I were to have an alterego living another life somewhere it would be one of two choices. Either up in the mountains on a lake or near the ocean on the beach maybe running a small hotel

Give me a small place by the sea where the water is at my doorstep and the fragrance of frangipanis drift in on a warm sea breeze all year round. Where i can live off both the land and the sea and where there are no crowds....that's where i be.

That's easy, famous poet. Not that I care about being famous, but I wanted to write poems that were so good I'd have to be famous.

Once I realized that wasn't going to happen, I wanted to be an environmental crusader.

As for life "style," going to a lot more symphonies and plays would have been very attractive.

A successful author. But I don't have the patience to do the writing.

I need a ghost writer. I will outline the plot or story idea and subject, create the book cover and title, but I need someone to do the writing for me.

Sometimes I just create titles to books I want to read and then I create the book cover, but the book itself has not been written.

You know what else would be cool? Be a captain of a four mast sailing frigate.

That's easy; simply put a classified add in Soldier Of Fortune Magazine and make sure you have a valid passport. It does work.

The first is a given.I have no love of 'my community nor country for that matter as I've held citizenship from several, some simultaneously.
The choices that supposedly made the person you are today", for the most part weren't mine but I simply had to choose between the lesser of 2 ;bad or worse as it was far too late to change directions.
My first choice would be to be in the diplomatic corps carrying an attache case rather than an MG or working for the UN Security Intervention Forces. Over the years while around the world, I met quite a few of their liaison officers. Unfortunately I was always 'on the other side' and could not make the transition. Same with a few of the major intelligence security agencies, the host countries objecting to my continued presence there...and I had no interest in creating either an international or internal 'incident' as I had no intention of moving to northeastern Europe. I much preferred the climate in South America or Africa. Trouble there is that one never knew if you woke up that you'd find a machete at your throat, as in Uganda under ol' Idi Amin. They're all very similar.
But as things stand now, Id be content as a full time artist/ painter and writer; perhaps run off to Cozumel, live on the beach, gather driftwood and build a shack on the beach; open the world's first glass bottom bus tours of the Yucatan Riviera...
