I think the problem is the misconception that this site is strictly a dating site....glad we cleared that up

This is a dating site. They should require real photos of members and to use them as their default photo. The main purpose of this site is to meet singles. I just see too many main photos of odd creatures and cartoon characters. What's the deal? I agree! If I'm putting myself out there you should do the same! I should be like the men on here.... ONLY contact If you have a photo!

This is a dating site. They should require real photos of members and to use them as their default photo. The main purpose of this site is to meet singles. I just see too many main photos of odd creatures and cartoon characters. What's the deal? I agree! If I'm putting myself out there you should do the same! I should be like the men on here.... ONLY contact If you have a photo! If they're looking for dating, I agree. Many seem to be afraid to post pictures of themselves for some reason, even if they're looking for dating.

I just know here in Calgary that school teachers, cops, firefighters, lawyers, etc are very private about their photographs not only on dating sites but even on Facebook. I give them the benefit of the doubt.

I have met one person who did not post their picture online. I saw them before meeting, though. And he had a genuine reason for not doing so, like those you've listed. However, most people that don't have pictures that I've chatted with don't have those reasons. It's either they don't have a camera, they're embarrassed about meeting people online and so on. Those are just silly excuses.

As much as i do like to see a photo of the person i communicate with I can understand why some folks are reluctant to expose themselves I personally have had my REAL photos taken,made into TROLL personas And then rubbed in my face like a dirty diaper ! Furthermore my REAL name,address and phone number publicized In their effort to bring me harm I told them thanks for the free publicity ! Since i do write hehehe... {On a non moderated site i won't bother to mention} Thus the need for moderators ...Thank you folks! I think the simple answer is... if it bothers you so much when someone does not have a photo .... JUST DON'T LOOK ! JMHO

If you're worried about your pictures being used elsewhere, try using http://www.tineye.com/ to see if anyone has been using them.
