I agree with OP. And if you are here just for these forums then you shouldn't be on here. why not? People have been on here for just the forums for a long time. People are allowed to be here for more than just dating. That is why we have the option of looking for friends. We like our forum posters Many have met "the one" from here or else where and still come here for the forums. They have sites for Forum users only, plenty out there they can do a search. Many Men/women online do not even use the forums they are on to find Dates. Maybe by eliminating users of forum only,will help clear out profiles here. I am just saying........... friends can be met on Forums sites. Like I said, there is no tyranny like petty tyranny. I joined this site when it was called "Just Say Hi!" I found many friends here. For anyone new to come here and suggest that people who are not looking to hook up with a mate should leave is just rude. I also met a lovely man here and I have to say even though he is an ocean away from me, he is my cyber husband.  Had it not been for the forums I would not have gotten to know the friends as real people. Mingle2 is not just a hook up place for people wanting to get laid or snag a spouse. |

I take offense when a newbie enters the forums and suggests that if you are not here looking for a mate or a date that you should not be here. That may be your opinion, but I still think it is a bad suggestion and rude. As we have said, this site started out as "Just say Hi" and it did not appear to be just strictly a "dating site." It was a site to get to know people. No pressure for dating. I liked that. The fact that it has forums was an added bonus. |

This is a dating site. They should require real photos of members and to use them as their default photo. The main purpose of this site is to meet singles. I just see too many main photos of odd creatures and cartoon characters. What's the deal? Humm, first of all this site according to the site profile of what it is ............. "It's simply a way of efficiently connecting those who are interested in dating, making new connections, or just being social." Awww key word "just being social"  You can find this here...http://mingle2.com/welcome/about This site has always been a Dating/Social site since it was created. Therefore they have never specified that members must have a photo... Not all are here to just date. Now if a member is using a photo that is a celebrity and we can prove it with a link those pictures will be removed.. Normally most members that are regular's within the forums are those that are not specifically here for dating only. |
