I agree with OP. And if you are here just for these forums then you shouldn't be on here. why not? People have been on here for just the forums for a long time. People are allowed to be here for more than just dating. That is why we have the option of looking for friends. We like our forum posters Many have met "the one" from here or else where and still come here for the forums. They have sites for Forum users only, plenty out there they can do a search. Many Men/women online do not even use the forums they are on to find Dates. Maybe by eliminating users of forum only,will help clear out profiles here. I am just saying........... friends can be met on Forums sites. Like I said, there is no tyranny like petty tyranny. I joined this site when it was called "Just Say Hi!" I found many friends here. For anyone new to come here and suggest that people who are not looking to hook up with a mate should leave is just rude. I also met a lovely man here and I have to say even though he is an ocean away from me, he is my cyber husband.  Had it not been for the forums I would not have gotten to know the friends as real people. Mingle2 is not just a hook up place for people wanting to get laid or snag a spouse. I am glad you are happy here and found friens and others as well. There are FORUMS..for Just forum users..is what I said. It is not rude, I just had my own opinion what a DATE site should be about. You can say what you want as well, but that is not rude. I feel it is rude to say I was rude. We all have opinions and I seen several rude posts on these forums  Yes I agree that it is rude to say it was rude to suggest that. Then again, I admit I am sometimes rude.  I take offense when a newbie enters the forums and suggests that if you are not here looking for a mate or a date that you should not be here. That may be your opinion, but I still think it is a bad suggestion and rude. As we have said, this site started out as "Just say Hi" and it did not appear to be just strictly a "dating site." It was a site to get to know people. No pressure for dating. I liked that. The fact that it has forums was an added bonus. Yes, it was rude to say I was rude. It was also rude to suggest that "I" (and anyone who is not looking for a date), should not be here on Mingle2. You realize, I hope, that is exactly what you did. So why not be honest and admit that was rude? |

I agree with OP. And if you are here just for these forums then you shouldn't be on here. While I agree somewhat about pictures, I disagree about the rest. You chose to use a site with forums, but are telling people who use them while not looking for dates that they shouldn't be here? That's weird. Most dating sites have forums. But there are sites that are just FORUMS. Not weird for me to be on here, I am here for dating. I think weird is a strange word to use to discribe what I said. It's not weird that you are here. It's weird that you are telling people who are not looking to date that they should find another site to use. Also, if it were solely a dating site, we would not be able to choose what we're looking for in our profiles if it were different than dating. If you don't like the forums, don't use them. Look, I was here when it was JustSayHi...I've been on plenty of dates through this site, sad in comparison to the amount of time I've been here, but that's really beside the point because I managed to make quite a few friends here. I'm pretty weak when it comes to calling them, but rare occasion we even talk on the phone. |
